Leather Wrap Instructions from Honda are in description. Also I've has some comments saying its not worth it to do this. Honestly this is one of the best things I've done to my car, after doing it you will agree and the best part is that get to enjoy it literally every time you drive. I would never go back to the stock look and you won't either

I'm going to get a wrap for my wheel but Honda currently wants $95 plus tax for this & then the added cost of the red thread. I'm going to try the China cheap version that claims to be real leather & comes with red thread. I did end up getting the "fake" carbon fiber steering wheel cover & while the real CF you have looks better, even the cheap fake carbon is substantially better than the silver plastic & it fit surprisingly well. For the $14.00 usd & free shipping I spent on eBay, it was worth the 1.5 week wait, it even comes with extra 3M tape.
@JasonMcMullen2 жыл бұрын
Yeah even the fake CF one looks so much better. I haven't had as much luck with the leather wraps from ebay though. The Honda one is really nice so if the cheap one is bad then the $95 is worth it imo

Where did you get the carbon cover I was looking at some on ebay but it doesn't say if it's real or not? thanks
@jacebrooklyn Жыл бұрын
I tried installing that carbon piece over the steering wheel cover like you did but the right side of the cover doesn’t snap in and it’s blocking the cruise control buttons.
@JasonMcMullen Жыл бұрын
I had to sand mine down quite a bit to get it to fit, do you think that would help?

nice vids, i subscribed today. very informative. question: hondapartsnow says the OEM leather cover is compatible with other civics but not Si's? I believe maybe because the Si's come already with leather. I have an 06 civic si coupe. Will I have to remove the existing leather somehow
@eckonycsk8er3 жыл бұрын
another question: if I order from hondapartsnow, they include the tools and instructions?
@JasonMcMullen3 жыл бұрын
Should be fine for 06 Si coupe, that what I have too. That's weird that it says that, usually hondapartsnow is pretty accurate. Thanks for the kind words bro! I really appreciate it. I'm gonna try to put out more videos this year

Its crazy how you wore out your steering wheel at the top. A whole layer was gone. You should have filled the gap with something before you wrapped it. You can see ans probably feel it under the new wrap
@JasonMcMullen3 жыл бұрын
haha yeah I bought the car with the wheel like that, but someone had some acid hands. I shaved down the edges of it to make it smooth and thought about filling it but I didn't. Its not very noticeable driving because its smooth but its noticeable in videos. I would put something there if I redid it

@hectorlopez7223 Жыл бұрын
Currently in the same situation. What would you use to cover the damage before installing the new cover?
@MrRahimhosein Жыл бұрын
@@hectorlopez7223 you could use a putty that turns semi solid after it cures. Or a silicone then smooth out before it dries. Or some other liquid filler that can be sanded down.

What should I do about the trim if my steering wheel has the phone call buttons?
@jacebrooklyn3 жыл бұрын
Is there only a black option? Or is there grey too?
@JasonMcMullen3 жыл бұрын
The wrap is black only from honda. There are aftermarket grey alcantara wraps available online buy I'm not sure how good the quality is

@@JasonMcMullen Yeah I’m not a fan of the suede feel though. I really like your route but I noticed that some of the original wheel is still exposed. Does it bother you feel wise or visually?
@JasonMcMullen3 жыл бұрын
@@jacebrooklyn yeah I'm with you, I dont like the suede feel either. In my opinion the Honda wrap does a pretty good job but yeah a few parts are not completely covered. When driving its not noticeable to me. Also the tighter you pull the thread the better because thee wrap will stretch a little over time, and the coverage will be a tad better. Once I put the wrap and carbon trim on I honestly could never go back to the normal wheel haha, but up to you

Bro what exhaust or anything would you recommend to get the civic to sound a bit like a lion

Well I love the Invidia N1 exhaust, and probably go with the Skunk2 alpha header then tell the tuner to run as much VTC advance as possible. Not sure about a lion but that thing will have some roar

Lol no red sharpie I would never do that, they are mechanics gloves not racing gloves. And its not rice, its not like vinyl carbon or something. Anyway thanks for commenting 🤙
