Very nice. I recently managed to bag a 1994 Epiphone Emperor Regent for $850, which - I think - was one of the first Emperor Regents to come out of the Peerless factory after Epiphone moved from Japan to Korea. These were apparantly a major Epiphone feature at the NAMM show for that year. I play some very decent guitars and this guitar is in the class of fine instruments. There is some degree of rumor out there that some of these have a solid top, while the specs typically say it's a lamimate. Also, 11s and 12s do fine on an archtop. There's no need to go up to 13s and higher to get decent tone. Nice vid. Thanks.

The Emperor Regent has all it takes to become a classic archtop.

@@GWGuitarStudio Totally agree. I get kinda snobby with my guitars - Jose Ramirez, Otto Vowinkel, Hermanos Camps, American Fender guitars, Martin guitars and the Peerless Emperor is right in there. By the way, I found a good formula with D'Addario XL 12s, with the wound 3rd, and tuning down to 415Hz. It's very comfortable and has excellent sustain, not to mention a warm, defined bass and an excellent ring in the trebles. Well, thank for a nice video. Subscribed.

I know what you mean. I did it twice before. Glad to have one again.
