2011 Ford Edge 3 5 Duratec spark plug, PCV, Upper Plenum Gasket, Throttle body

A spark plug change on a 2011 Ford Edge Limited 3.5 duratec at 90, 000 miles. The Upper plenum gasket was replaced and the Plenum was cleaned using MAF cleaner. The throttle body was cleaned using throttle body cleaner and the new SP520 motorcraft spark plugs installed.

what happens if the coils are installed in other order?

Nothing. Coils are not placement specific. I only moved them to change the exposure to the heat the back ones endure.

Should use MAF or Air Intake cleaner to clean the manifold? Shall also clean the intake box?

Yes. I usually clean the air intake when I change spark plugs and coils.

MACTFORDEDGE Thank you. Noticed you did the job with MAF cleaner, shall I assume it's lighter/safer than throttle body cleaner?

Yes a little easier on the parts, but I still use TB cleaner as a back up because the MAF cleaner has a hard time with some of the more stubborn build up carbon, especially in the TB.

Yes. I had to buy the gasket separately as the 2011 MY changed the gasket, but the gaskets in the kit will fit the 2007-2010.

I have a 2013 Edge Sport with the 3.7 does the plugs come out the same?? And what was the app on your phone you were using to monitor your Edge??

The 3.7 is just a bored out 3.5. Pretty much exactly the same as far as intake and plugs. Check out my other videos reviewing the Forscan app and ObdII links MX
