That is such a beautiful bike. Definitely one of the best looking bike harley has made. Whoever buys this bike will fall in love with it. Nice video Codger!!

I'd agree 100%. Say what kind of chaps do you own? Someone is asking in the comments.

I have an '08 105th Anniversary Road King Classic with a 96CCI and Vance and Hines Pro Pipes and I love it. Only been riding it for a month or so and it floats and growls down the highway. Steering and shifting are easy and the suspension is soft. It's a far smoother ride than my '14 Fat Bob but I love them both. If I think I'm going to be hitting a lot of traffic on the way home from work, I take the Fat Bob since it's lighter and more aggressive. If I know I can take some country roads with smooth sailing in light or moderate traffic, it's a golden opportunity to enjoy the RKC. It's entirely possible that the RKC might be the most versatile bike in Harley's lineup. Heavy and soft enough to take on the interstate for long road trips but maneuverable and classic enough to pop down to the gas station or grocery store or bar. Gotta love those Road Kings!

I own a 2011 Rk standard, just fitted screaming eagle compensator , has bout same milage as this one, I have put about 3k miles on it, it's a heavy bike, but great on the hwy, just awkward to park, at 150lb, I struggle a bit

Bigger bikes can be a bit of a struggle for us smaller people. I'm one of those too but it sounds like you're enjoying it regardless like I would.

The brand is called dream apparel. I ordered them online but not sure where. Best chaps I've ever owned and they have zip in/out liners

It's an awesome bike. I really and truly loved it too. I'm glad you love yours. Pete did answer your question, I hope that helps you find those chaps.

That bike makes me wish I had room for another horse in my stable.
@TheCodgerBiker Жыл бұрын
Well I know you do have room but really not any actual need. It is a cool bike and would make a great addition to any stable.

I really enjoy my pre-owned 2016 HD Road King standard model, with the hard shelled lockable saddlebags. The RK Classic model you demo rode doesn't have lockable bags, correct? Safe Travels. 🙂🏍🇨🇦
@TheCodgerBiker Жыл бұрын
I believe it doesn't have lockable saddlebags. They appear to be buckled/snaps. If I find out any differently I will let you know for sure. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your Road King btw.

I have a 2012 Road King Classic. My previous Road King was a 1996, my first Harley. The 2012 has ABS and cruise control, two “ must haves” on any bike that I own. I plan to swap the laced wheels out for cast wheels. I love the look of laced, but hate the tubed tires required. I stuck with a 16 inch front, because I love white wall tires! Love chrome too. Very nice review…thank you.

I'm about 5'7'' as well according to the medical professionals. At home I come up with 5'8". I'd be willing to bet you could flat foot this bike. At least give yourself the pleasure of trying it out. Cheers!
