@TheJmacaroni Absolutely. It handles very well, which can be attributed to the lower profile and wider stance. I've been driving bimmers for over 12 years and I'm quite surprised at the maneuverability of this minivan. The interior feels so futuristic and the control layout is quite intuitive. I love it.

Does the new 2011 Honda Odyssey have Cross Bars or is it an option this time, again?
@mo0mo0214 жыл бұрын
The 2011 Honda odyssey rocks and finaly they made the new sporty look. My parents love the odyssey they have the1997 and 2002 model. But the thing I like most about this van is that it has cooling boxes and a HDMI TV. I mean really you can play with consoles in that van. Thanks for the long introduction of the new 2011 Honda Odyssey.

whoa, some cool gizmos and features to play with. Here in Oz we have the JDM Ody and our one (3rd Gen lux) has proved to be brilliant in every respect except for dismal visiblity around the A pillar, something we have adjusted for and now fixed on the 4th Gen. That exterior sliding door track looks crap but unavoidable, I would love sliding doors on our version! That cooler is the best, could keep a few cans of lager in there...only for demonstration purposes, of course ;-)

In many ways some of the interior and exterior resembles the 2nd gen Odyssey, such as the front headlights and cool-box. I wonder how often the transmission will have to be rebuilt though...

@michaelb1one, but if you have your gaming system in the back how do u change games... and for me i play games like rockband and stuff and need to be able to connect things to it... and i also use the "USB" to charge ipods and blackerrys while in the car... not to mention that when i go on road trips the car is loaded to the roof and there is no room in back for a PS2 not to mention that if the was enough room for it it would have no room to breath and no way to change games

@dankaren95 1) Safer - less chance of a rollover 2) much more room especially in the back (storage) 3. Generally better gas mileage. SUV's are good for the all-wheel drive (if they have it) but if you need the space, minivan's are MUCH better

I bought a new 2008 Odyssey and was disappointed with the quality. The drive train was good, but mileage wasn't so great. There were flaws in the paint job and road noise was to high. The driver should have the option to disable traction control. This is not just for the Odyssey, but all cars. I experienced a loss of throttle when the tires slipped as I accelerated after stopping at a stop sign. This left me in potential danger in the line of trafic without the ability to accelerate.

looks great but it MUST have side moldings on it ,my 2002 ody has side moldings on it and it still has about 5 dings,that i hate, it might look better without them but good luck later. the concept looks so much better in white pearl with the nice wheels i will sell my '02 and my '08 camry hybrid and get one of these-really nice

One major rule of thumb for a good car company is never make a car the engineer wants for himself and it's family, instead make a car that the public wants. I hope Honda listened more to the public instead of it's engineers to make the Odyssey.

Truthfully, because they have the courage to buy a Minivan, and don't necessarily care about their image. Second, it is highly practical, and good for children. Minivans can also get expensive, and they seem to have money to buy the expensive ones.
@shortbusrider071414 жыл бұрын
Good job, u can copy features from a toyota sienna, except for most of them being better in the toyota for a lower price. such as features like 2nd row open/close sunroof, a larger screen in the 2nd row, and easier access to the input jacks for the entertainment system. as most people know, in the honda, the input for a playstation or exbox is in the third row, where as they are located in the middle directly infront of the second row, which BTW have foot rests.

The exterior is growing on me. Show-stopper for me will be if it can't be equipped with roof rails/crossbars so I can attach my Thule roof box for the long family trips. I currently use it on my Windstar and it's so sleek that I don't notice it's up there when cruising at my standard 78MPH. Probably only lose ~1MPG too. HONDA> Please let us know about the roof rack option. If it doesn't have it the 2011 Odyssey is out of the running for me.

Like u said...100 Meter styling is the BEST description of ur styling because thats how far away i want to run away from every Honda/ Acura design. It must have been YOU who approved the lightning bolt side profile and obnoxious sliding door track which make it seem as if the van was put together in separate parts and rear ended with a whole different car all together.SIR YOU and every other Honda designer should be fired...with the exception of the interior designers who actually do their job

The interior is excellent however the exterior appears to need re-styling. The lightening bolt needs to be flatten out on the center door. Looks like a broken car in the middle.

I can hardly wait to see what this costs.. One thing Honda and Toyota don't seem to understand is that young families with young children DON'T HAVE A LOT OF MONEY. My wife and I live in a very expensive Canadian city and can't afford a 50-60k vehicle (what I imagine this will cost here in Canada). Well, I suppose we could buy one, but we wouldn't have enough money left over to use it for anything..

"Lightning bolt design"...the best thing that could happen would be for a lightning bolt to zap the back quarter of the van and rearrange things. What's with the extra wide door slot. Maybe it doubles as a bottle opener.
