@curtiat I checked with Kia. You are correct. Thanks for pointing that out. The turbo engine is an option with the EX model that has more comfortable suspension set up for those who may think the SX is too firm.

@MrBroth13 The Kia is set up with a sporty driving dynamic. The suspension is firmer.

Man, Kia is just killing it with these new Optima's. I would love to own the SX. WTG Kia and great review. I'm really digging your style. Reminds me of autoweek.

@n2n4n I remember it being a bit higher than average but not overly loud.

@PHY51C15T Manuals cost well under 1k to make + less likely to break than autos and cheaper to repair. Only clutch may be replaced but its still cheaper in the long run. Btw, auto friction discs also can wear out

Great near-complete review! I wish Kia retained the power folding side mirrors in the US version. What could be the reasoning behind not offering it in the US? Love the welcome and goodbye features, though! LOL. If they add UVO and AWD, the Optima will definitely replace my Altima in a few years.

Great review! I love that the turbo model runs on regular unleaded... a real plus. The Optima is up there with a few others I'm considering as my next daily driver.

I believe there is an error in this video. The moderator indicates that the premium wheel option shown at the end of the video is not a low profile tire. That is wrong. It is exactly the same size 18" tire as the sport model, just a more conservative wheel design.

i fucking love kia compare to those expensive cars that you're paying for the NAME OF THE BRANDS ONLY.

@DrivenCarReviews I know that this optima and the sonata se turbo are pretty much the same car, but from a performance perspective, is there are difference? (i.e. handling?). thanks!

I love the car and what you get with it, however, my only gripe with the car is the engine noise. That clicking sounds like it can be really annoying.
@PHY51C15T13 жыл бұрын
@Bulgdoom Not quite. It's just fine considering the target market. Also the warranty's couldn't be as good if manual was an option I'm sure

Tom, can you review the NEW Jaguar XJ / XJL? You reviewed the 7 series, Porsche 911, and the old XJ.

@ox092 Sorry can't bend space and time. I sat next to an engineer at dinner and he insisted this was a very durable engine. He said the 100,000 mile powertrain warranty was brought up many times during development, in other words, poor durability would cost the company a fortune. Many manufacturers are going to turbo power, it will be interesting to see how they do in the long term.
