Awesome POV! Enough for me to see how my prius 2G could be in a luxury package. Some things are still the same (CVT noise, (perhaps, lexus is quieter inside), recharging times from 2 bars, that awful reverse beep...). After two years driving the prius, I still don't know if I love or hate CVT, but what I know is hybrids are cars you want to drive again at the moment you leave them parked. Thanks for sharing!

I like the car overall one of local friend has one and it very nice but I'm not fan of these hybrids it's same as prius end of the day, but I like the desghn and interior of it just if they had made few fully petrol versions like 2.0l or 2.5l like the IS200 and is250 it would been alot nicer car soeailly some one like me a petrolhead somthing with power at least would be V6 2.5l that would be great. But sad they didn't make them in this shape its only the 1.8 hybrid

Barry - love the videos. What would you choose between this Lexus CT200h 1.8, 2014 reg at 11800GBP, and an Audi A1diesel 2014 reg at 9000GBP (both with similar mileage around 29000) mostly for commuting long distance to/from work?

Handling is pretty good and I would say the ride quality is better than a BMW as it doesn't have them stupid run flat tyres that transmit every little bump in the road through the steering wheel

The ride is so clunky on uk roads bmw has firm classy feeling suspension ours has a steering problem it makes clonking noise when turning steering wheel left to right Car feels so drlicate to drive.. horrible cheap car that’s not cheap!

Hi Makis, its because i took it on the quiet country lanes and they are quite narrow and windy but fun to drive on, unlike our main roads where there is far too much traffic

Because we had horse and carts before the rest of the world was even discovered hence minor roads like these are narrow as they were never intended for cars.

+Dovydas Rimdeika the car has sold now so i can't do a video for you, however i did use it for a few days and my journey to work was 32 miles purely on the Motorway, i found the car to be excellent and not unduly noisy

Is there much road noise when driving this car ? I'm thinking of getting the CT luxury line but just worried about a stiff drive and noise. Some reviews seem to suggest that. Currently have auris 2013 , not hybrid. Good car but noisy on the motorway. The CVT makes a groaning noise. From your test drive it seems OK. Thanks .

I think once you get to 30 mph the engine start, so will be about the same as all other cars of that quality, but quieter sub 30mph

Barrie, gonna pick up my CT200h on Saturday. Bought it for economy, I use the M25 to go to work, lets hope that the cost stays down in terms of fuel. Will like to know how much is the running costs in terms of fuel. Will soon find out I guess.

Yea, in America you will most likely found CT200h with SunRoofs as Americans tend to buy this option, in Europa there is not a lot of people buying it so you can find CT200H without any sun roof.

so how many of you guys have still got your Lexus's? - im looking for a new car for my 70mile round trip commute consisting of around 20miles m25 motorway, followed by 15miles through London. so a very varied commute. im thinking a nice hybrid would make the most sense for this? - Ill be honest I also like the thought that im not contributing quite so much to Londons poor air quality that I would do with a dirty diesel, so please dont suggest diesels. (and no, train isn't viable, I work nights and the trains dont run early enough in the morning!!)

It's a Japanese car. Japanese cars have the steering wheel on the right like the UK, therefore it IS on the correct side.

Hybrid has lower running costs....besides that, why should battery go down? There are prius with high mileage without battery problems. Diesels with turbo have more problems and more parts that need repairment in comparison to a patrol engine with cvt.

To not buy very cheap materials. Usb flap which opens towards the driver. Not passenger back to front design. All instrument are awkward with no nice feel to it. Little slots on centre console for? Just a horrid car to drive steering wheel clonks when turn side to side.. Only plus points are it’s cheap on petrol and front led light look nice! Otherwise avoid this car. It ain’t no bmw let alone a vw audi reminds me of old Skoda feel.. re think before car goes on sale coz this one ain’t good..

i think you must have driven one that hasn't been looked after, its a great car and great to drive too, when you make cars for the right and left hand drive market somebody is not gong to be happy as it would be cost prohibitive to put everything in the other way round, great car well made,
