I also don't like the fact that the 4th generation is not half as good looking as this one. Although its back doesn't look bad, the front is just completely ugly, mainly on the facelifted version. No German car is as reliable as the GS.

I bought one of theses in 2020 as a work car with 170k miles for $5500. Bought from a 1 owner CA guy drove from LA to sacramento weekly. Put some BC coilovers, 19s on it and installed a tesla screen with carplay. $9k all in. It drives brand new. Super quiet and great gas mileage for the power. Had a BMW years ago and it was a never-ending maintenance pit. Other than oil changes and changing the brake pads once, I've had absolutely no issues with this car despite it now having 219kmiles now. Flawless car.

It's definitely better all around with RWD along with the 18" wheels and Z rated 245/40 tires. It's still no sports car obviously, but with the extra couple of hundred pounds taken off, along with the two sized wider z rated tires, along with the optional adaptive/adjustable suspension that comes in the GS 460, the GS 350 rwd holds it's own and definitely drives a bit more sporty versus the awd model. Much rather take this over a 5 series of the same year because you don't really see this car on the road as much as the bmw. plus the inside is much more luxurious and it's just as fast

Less interior space than a 5 series though. Agree it's much more reliable and with the bells and whistles. Handling no where near a BMW unfortunately.

My GS’s dash squeaks in cold weather. There’s a fix with felt dampers, but Lexus refused to fix it.

The reverse feature has static and dynamic trajectory but no one knows how to turn it back on!

In my younger years, I loved this car... but then I grew up and became a MAN! and moved up to the LS460 😌

Why was this model released a year later in the USA than the UK? Thought it would be the other way around if anything.

Over half of the information he is giving is wrong... There is a hybrid model, there is all wheel drive available in all states, there is a 2012 model, the screen is about 11" not 12, etc...

What’s the point to have a hard suspension and to feel every holes bumps and cracks ? Better having no suspension at all then.

Shame this model doesn't have the stepper-motor cluster dials which flick right when turned on like the IS250.

Essentially, it is, but most Lexus vehicles feel of much higher quality than the similar Toyota counterparts. In fact, I even prefer the interior of the first-generation Lexus LS 400 to the BMW E38 7-series.

Forgot to mention that they all share a common RWD platform while the ES is based on the FWD Camry.
