Astar is an underrated car of Maruti... Global Ncap 3 star rated.. Even its weight is in par with Maruti Swift Dzire.. Its a Suzuki product rather Maruti ... Sold as Alto in European market..and its sold over 100 countries under different names... Even Nissan sold it as Pixo.. And Nissan Micro is successor of it.. Thats why design similarities there!

Maruti targeted audience was 23-30 age group.. But its not a matured market at that time..and it was a costlier product compared to even other products of Maruti folio.. So its floped in the market..High quality means high cost.. But Indians doesn't digest that.. So its a bang for buck in the second market🤷🏻‍♂️😮

i have a maruti A-star 2009 model......the car has become 16 years old..........it hasn't stopped in middle of the road or engine problem maruti made the best engine better build, best engine, gives more power i love this car

I own an A Star for the last 15 years now. I have literally grown up with this car. Its a real underrated gem of Maruti. Its the perfect car for city. Really sad that they discontinued it back in the day. Internal Maruti competition really killed the car.

I am using A Star car from 2012 onwards . Nice small family car. No serious complaints so far except normal wear and tear. Comparatively good mileage @ 16-18km per litre.
