The HVAC issue sounds like the blower motor resistor, I replaced it in our 2010 Jetta a few years back (got a vid on it) and it was super easy!

Front end alignment with string & a tape measure. No idea how that works. Thanks for the update 👍

My mom has a Mazda2 - she loves it! Simplicity is the name of the game with these cars. They sold well in Thailand and all throughout south-east Asia. I think Mazda's goal was to try to develop brand loyalty in burgeoning economies, and produced a simple, rock solid little car that's super easy to maintain and lots of fun to drive. They're cool little cars. Michelin X-ice 2's are the bomb - exactly like you said.

There is an upgrade to the rear engine mount. That might be the sound you’re hearing. I have the same thing on my Mazda 2. There’s a guy on KZbin that says, the five must mods for Mazda 2 So I am going to try that rear mount, it’s more stiff than the stock one that’s more like a rubber band.

Nice little Mazda. I have a question is this little car good for tall drivers? I’m 6’3. The reasons why I ask is I was considering one of these as a daily driver and this car seems to fit the bill for me. I sat in the Honda Fit as well and it has plenty of headspace considering my height. I’m hoping this little Mazda is the same. Cheers and be well!

@@unclefreddieDied Still strong. It doesn't get many miles -- maybe 5k or so per year but mostly driving around town.

Fan could be blower moter resister

If the heater works on high and no heat on other settings it is 100% the heater resister , should be a cheap fix
@MikeVT4 жыл бұрын
This is the correct answer! I ended up replacing the heater resistor and it solved the problem. It was indeed cheap and easy!
