Can you tell me where to buy or size of the bolts and spring?

If I remember correctly, I think I went to Oreillys auto and brought one of the old bolts and purchased a universal kit that was similar in size.

Nice to see you're still rocking the Mazda 2. How's it doing now??

It's still kickin! Pretty much issue free and approaching 151,000 miles.

I'm looking at one used . Good to hear it's holding up. The subframe still looks good and the exhaust looks decent. I'm in the rust belts so your car's looking pretty good considering. From the glimpses I got

@@nashsmith3005 Don't get me wrong, it's a PIA to work on with rusty bolts and parts, but what isn't? I would imagine the sub frame would rust out before the engine quits. Still runs strong. It's been a fun little car for me -- especially with the 5 speed.

I’ve got what sounds like a loose heat shield rattling and I can’t find where it’s coming from for the life of me. It’s also a 2011 Mazda 2

If it sounds like it's coming from the front, it might be the exhaust manifold heat shield(s) like you can see in the video. The way they are positioned after completely detached, mine only rattled at certain RPM's which made it difficult to identify until I was under the car.
@codythomas35863 жыл бұрын
@@MikeVT so it was your exhaust manifold heat shields for sure? I’m gonna put it in neutral and have someone rev it a little. It sounds like it’s coming from the front but have no idea where! It’s annoying af

@@codythomas3586 All of the other heat shields are properly secured. They were loose at one point, however, I drove some self-tapping screws in with washers to secure them for good (hopefully will last longer than the car is on the road). But the exhaust manifold heat shields were completely detached from their mounting brackets for me -- just completely rusted out and freely resting on the top of the catalytic converter/manifold.

Looks like this mazda 2 has been parked deep in salt water for a time,.seems like its very rusty for a 2011 car,.the whole body looks rusty.

Haha it practically was. Here in Vermont, salt and brine are used heavily on the roads during the winter months.
