2011 Mercedes C300 - Straight Pipe vs. Magnaflow Mufflers

After driving with the Magnaflow Mufflers for a few weeks now I wanted to make a video comparing the huge difference between my current dual muffler setup to my previous straight pipe setup.

The more I look on KZbin there's barely any in depth videos of c300s getting tuned up like this I have one myself it's completely stock I will be straight piping it in the future and adding carbon fiber parts to the exterior I just wanted to know if anyone wants me to record it ( please don't hate I'm just another car guy trying to bring quality content to others )

Which mufflers do you have on now? The Magnaflow #11226 that I have will almost get rid of the highway drone. But it is much more quiet than the straight pipes I had in this video. I went from xpipe+muffler delete to xpipe + 11226 mufflers, little to no drone...but way too quiet for my liking.

hey bro i have a 2019 c300 coupe and just last week i got the mufflers taken off, now it burbles when i rev and pops when i upshift at high rpms, im thinking about getting rid of the resonators do u think it will be too loud or will it sound better with more pops and burbles?

No problems. A muffler delete + magnaflow xpipe setup with stock exhaust tips should be around $200-250 parts and labor depending how much your shop charges.

TheShug12 first off you have a 4 cylinder turbo engine and mine is a v6 so they sound completely diff. as for the piping your local shop does that just tell them you want dual outlet. ofcourse you will need some quad tips and a rear diffuser that fits uad.

+kelvin sun I ordered the diffuser from a local vendor on mbworld.org, that cost around 300, quad tips 185, Xpipe from amazon was 90 which is optional, then something like 200 for the exhaust shop to do resonator delete/xpipe + muffler delete. I had the diffuser installed beforehand along with some other parts at a body shop, forgot how much they charged. and yes, straight pipes were a little loud, and probably did annoy people, but i didnt care lol. which is why i added mufflers later, so its alot quieter now, but wish i had straight pipes again. if you dont do x pipe then it should be a little less loud.

When you did straight pipes did your sensors come on or are they're any bad side effects that happened to the car? I have a 09 Mercedes c300 v-6 and my cats do a rattling noise when I turn it on or when I am driving at low speeds, Dealer ship is charging me over a grand to put new cats in, So I've been looking at just taking them off and running them straight I've just never imagined taking cats off a Mercedes

I never take my car to the stealership only for recalls. The sensors are only on the primary cats closest to the engine, only if you touch those will you throw codes. you can go to an exhaust shop they'll fix it for like 100-200.

Because my car has 2 or 3 of those behind the secondary silencer cats Did you take those out also? I never touched my cats in this video. You can always do X-pipe + aftermarket mufflers. Thats what I did in this video, it was x-pipe + muffler delete, then I switched to Magnaflow Mufflers but then it became way too quiet so I deleted the Secondary Cats/Resonators which is my most recent setup in my videos. You can try different mufflers, but there are little to no sound clips of any aftermarket mufflers on KZbin so it's best to find a cool shop that will let you hear different mufflers before they actually weld them on.

First off, lets clear somethings up. When people say they did "X-pipe" that equals "Resonator Delete" as the Magnaflow X-pipe deletes the resonator. When people say "straight pipe" that means they did a "muffler delete" aka straight pipe the mufflers. So you dont do "a straight pipe with magnaflow mufflers" the fact that you have mufflers means it is NOT straight pipe. I think you want X-pipe + magnaflow mufflers, but as I have told you, it is VERY quiet like in this video. Ofcourse that is only one model of muffler, and magnaflow offers more aggressive mufflers along with other muffler brands. That's ok. For the straight pipe setup in this video all you need is a Magnaflow X-pipe #10791, bring it to your exhaust shop and ask them to install it and do a "muffler delete." That's all you need for the sound you can use your stock exhaust tips. If you want quad tips you will need the quad tips and a rear diffuser.

+alqahtani hussain well all you need for straight pipes is an x pipe. can have an exhaust shop make one for you, or you can get a magnaflow x pipe part# 10791 like i did from amazon for $90. quad tips are optional ofcourse and you will need a rear diffuser to fit them, i got mine for $190 at www.topspeedauto.com. then it all depends on how much the exhaust shop you go to charges you for installing everything.

oh ok, well a 2011 is nice, i love mine and have had no problems, but if you could get a 2012+ it's just all around better looking. the front end, rear end, and interior is updated. then in 2013 they introduced a new 3.5L V6 engine for the C300 instead of the old 3.0 engine. 2011 is a nice year as well because they added the daytime running lights in the front in place of the 08-10 fog lights.
