While replacing rear shocks on many vehicles is a 15 minute job, the Mercedes GLK is not one of those. The upper mounts are hidden behind the side panels in the rear, and also obscured by the fender liners. The "official method" for swapping shocks involves taking those panels and fender liners entirely out, but I show a way to get around these (unnecessary) steps, with a comprehensive description of the process, as well as the reasons behind a lot of options you have.
I also show a method for removing and installing the shock mount without special tools, using only the kind of tools that almost every DIYer has in the toolbox. I also show how it's done if you have the right tools (open-body socket set).
If this video helps you out, I'd appreciate it very much if you would like the video, and subscribe to my channel. That will make it much easier for you to find my (many) other videos relating to the Mercedes GLK, both current and future.
