2011 RAV4 How-To: Cruise Control | Toyota

Hello, i have 2012 RAV4 2.4L Base model. It doesn't have a cruise control and i want to ask if it possible to just install Cruise control lever ? Does the car come already pre-wired, or it needs alot of work to install wires with ECU ?

Hi, there. The cruise control system is a factory installed component and would not be setup by a dealer. Additionally, Toyota does not recommend modifications be made to your vehicle as they could affect your vehicle's performance and warranty.

Pull the stalk and tap the breaks, or press on/off? So oulling the stalk is necessary before hitting the breaks?

I guess any of the three will work. But why he is saying tap the breakS? I think there is only one break to tap, which is the one near the gas pedal. Thoughts?

I have a question. I go to enhance my cruise control and it engages for a second and stop and the cruise control light blinks. Any recommendations?

When I move and hold the stalk to increase and decrease, do I need to push the has or break?

No, because it should be activated. You'll feel the car going by itself "cruise control" & you should come off all the pedals, just hold the stork up to increase speed and down to reduce speed, release and cruise.
