Hi all. I have had a similar problem on my Forester 2008...It initiated few weeks after the xenon lamps being changed at the service. The low beam xenon lamp being On and Off unexpectedly, some tomes at the road surface bumps, sometimes at no reason, while idling at red light on road-crosses...I scratched my head for the reasons, checked fuses, voltage, etc...The reason is clear after this video, it is a corrosion / weaken contact at the lamp connector. Helpful insight... my hi beam work but not my low beams on the passenger side!! Got me thinkin' a fuse , wire, connection!) Etc.... bulb works but only it's brights

Thanks man, that lead me to the right location of the issue! The cable wasn't connected after servicing was done on it.

Came here looking for answers. I tried to change the bulb, checked fuses, and even bought a new relay. I'm going to look into this further tomorrow. Thanks.

A good test to know what it is, if you lights are lit it's a contact issue

Hit the outside headlight housing if it goes out or flickers with a light tap it's corrosion for sure just need to wire brush it and put di-eletric grease.

was having headlight problems and literarily just pushed on the gang plug and they started working, fucking mint

This is helpful. Both my lows are out but active when i turns my brights on. I’m thinkin it’s the relay

Thank you. I was entering the pulling my hair out phase. Am going to the fuses next... Hopefully that will be it, but thanks for this in case that fails.

Omg, both are mine are out, I hope it’s as simple as this. All fuses had continuity… just can’t drive at night lol 😂

I also had this problem recently. Only mine was a 15a fuse in the fuse block on the drivers side engine compartment.

I’m having similar trouble with my 2012. The low beams go off after a few miles. They will come back on if I turn them off and then back on
