Bought me a 2012 w/ 8500 miles for $4900.. Oahu, HI cruising 😌.. had a cbr600rr but this is versatile, comfy and still got fun power! Great purchase!

Nice I got a 2010 myself black with gold wheels. I had a shop chop off the chrome tip and weld 6in pipe curved flush to the swingarm and gave it a much better sound and a few more pops when slowing down. I agree it is a very great smooth easy bike for around town with plenty of power. Only downside is it is a very heavy bike.

Awesome! I bet the gold wheels look great. I do agree on the weight - roughly 70+ pounds heavier than most 600cc supersports. Coming from a cruiser it felt light to me, but having since ridden a few other sport bikes there is definitely a difference.

I have a 2012 fz6r and I need a whole new fairing kit and crowlings how would I go about that Brotha ??
@isaiahsimoneau2 жыл бұрын
You should be able to find a complete fairing kit for $400-$600 online. The other thing a lot of people do is strip it completely - do a single headlight and give it a street fighter look. They definitely don’t look bad naked.

What kind of LED light you have
@isaiahsimoneau22 күн бұрын
Unfortunately, the previous owner installed the LED headlight, so I am unsure what brand it is.

In the works to purchase a yellow fz soon. Very excited. Which led bulb did you go with?
@isaiahsimoneau2 жыл бұрын
Congrats! These bikes look fantastic in yellow. Unfortunately, the previous owner installed the LED headlight, so I am unsure what brand it is. Definitely a must have if you ride at night though.

@@isaiahsimoneau right on. Yeah i try not to ride too often at night, i imagine deer at 60 doesn’t taste the same as deer at the table lol.
@isaiahsimoneau2 жыл бұрын
@@laundrieshanging9077 Haha yea, you're right about that. I do a lot of night riding, I find it relaxing. Have seen deer when out but never have had a "close call" with one. I know a few folks who have encountered them on bikes and it definitely doesn't go over well. Regardless, a good light helps to see what is making its way onto the roadway. Makes me feel better, nonetheless.

Just bought one today! What exhaust modifications do you recommend? Thank you PS Awesome content!
@isaiahsimoneau2 жыл бұрын
Glad you like it George, and congrats on the purchase! The Delkevic and Two Brothers seem to be popular options. Some people just drill out the original muffler as well. If you have Facebook, you can search for the FZ6R owners group. Very helpful with modifications, as a lot of people have posted videos of what each type of exhaust sounds like. That way you can get a feel for exactly what you like.

How much did you pay? I found a 2012 one for 4150 and it has 10,000 miles
@isaiahsimoneau8 ай бұрын
If it's in good shape, that's a good buy!
@MichaelSilvestri-yr7um6 күн бұрын
I paid $5500 from a dealer. That includes sales tax and one year registration and plate. Has 7,200 miles. Considering I was looking for a long time and was getting frustrated I did ok. Same exact bike.

That's definitely not the stock exhaust- that's got holes in it. Mine has a hole drilled and it's not that loud.
@isaiahsimoneau Жыл бұрын
You're likely correct. Mine seemed to sound oddly aggressive compared to others!

That is not a stock exhaust, I bet you there are holes drilled in behind that chrome tip cover.
