Amir Ibn Fuhayra Abu Bakrs freed servant was told to take out the sheep flock and cover Abdullah’s tracks so none knew where he went. Abdullah Ibn Arkath / Uraykith He had the job of taking hem through the less traveled path. The Arabs had main traveling roads bc it was safer. So they would meet him on the morning of the third night to take them. We don’t know if he became Muslim later on but they trusted him. They were in Ghari Thour which is very small. Due to erosion this cave is bigger today. Similarly, the hill of the archers, Safa and Marwa are smaller now. After a while the Quraysh knew he didn’t go the normal way. So they hired an expert scout. He read the camel dung and began to trace them with the Quraysh along him to the base of Ghari Thour. The entrance is at the bottom on the mountain. Abu Bakr said that he looked out saw the Quraysh. He told the prophet sws “if they look at their feet level they will see us”. The prophet sws “ what do you think of two people and the third with them is Allah ?” The Quraysh didn’t see them. The prophet and Abu Bakr and Abdullah all wen towards the lesser road parallel to the main. Suraqa Ob Malik. He was a leader from the Bedouin tribe of Juhshim. The Quraysh put a bounty of 100 camels for the prophet sws dead or alive. Suraqa said “ I was sitting with my tribe and the news came that reward was for the prophet sws. One of my men came and said “I saw three men riding I think it’s the ones that have the reward.” Suraqa lied and said “no that’s another party. Not them “. He anted the bounty for himself. Then he left and went home. He took his bows and arrows and took his war horse. He rode towards them saw them close by. He said “suddenly my horse threw me off. Then I saw smoke between me and the three riders. I pulled out my Azlam arrows ( pagan Amulet for making decisions). It said not to go. I ignored it bc I wanted the money. This happened three times. The third time my horse threw me violently. I knew this was divine. I knew this mans affairs will Spread. I called out to them and said let me approach. I mean no harm. I saw one man very worried and looking everywhere. The other man was clam and reciting something. I offered them food and the prophets sws told me no, but that he would protect him and had it written on a piece of leather that was given to me. The prophet sws said “O suraqa how will you be when you wear the brackets of Kisra?” This was the Persian emperor. Suraqa was shocked. Almost ten years later suraqa showed the prophet sw the leather note of protection. Remnants of the Assasinids are still visible the day. Many went to Umar. Umar found the bracelets and put them on Suraqa himself. Then he went around the Kaaba to show the promise fulfilled. We see that the prophet sws used honest non Muslims to hire as a guide. We can hire them also. Abu Jahl beat Asma until she bled bc she wouldn’t tell him where they went.

The Murder Plot Ibn Abbas narrated that “Allah made an ayah describing the night of the Hijra. Surah Anfal. “When the people who disbelieve plotted against you to secretly imprison you and to exile you and to kill you, and they plotted and Allah plotted and Allah is the best of planners!” JIbn Abbas said In Dar Ar Nadwa, the parliament of the Quraysh, the elders all met up in the middle of the night, leaders form all the tribes. Only Abu Lahab was not invited from the Banu Hashim because he support led them but the rules said he couldn’t be involved. Also Muttam Ibn Adi, the one who gave the prophet protection was not invited to this secret meeting. A stranger came and knocked on the door. They asked him who are you? He said I am a man from Najd. I heard you have a problem and I want to help you. This was Shaitan. Now the elders began to talk. Most of the Muslims had left except for the prophet sws and they dread that if he went then Medina would become a super power. They came up with some ideas. One said let’s imprison him. But Shaitan said “but his words will still reach the people.” Another said “let’s exile him. But Shaitan said “then he will go to his people and become powerful.” Then Abu Jahl said “ all of you were thinking the same thing but no one has signed it. I will say it. Let’s kill him. We can do it in the way no one will be blamed. We will all stab him a t once and Banu Hashim will be unable to do anything but take the blood money..” The concept of Diyah, blood money is pre Islamic but Islam came and gave it rules. Shaitan stood up and said “this is the only way!” So each tribe sent a young man to the prophets and Khadijah’s house to kill him that night. Alalh already told the prophet sws that he had to leave the day before. Angel Jibreel came and told the prophet he had to leave the house immediately. When the prophet came outside he saw the young men. He began to recite Surah Yasin. “We put barriers in front of them and behind them, so we caused them to go blind.” They didn’t see anything. The prophet sws threw dust on all of them. Ali was till with him. He told Ali to lay in the bed. At this time Ali was only 19 years old. Ali did. The prophet sws went to Abu Bakrs house and they went to the cave of Thur. Ghari Thur is in the opposite direction of Medina and about a 3 hour walk. They stayed there for three days and would leave with a guide on a less known path through Jeddah to Medina. As the prophet sws was leaving he turned to Mecca and said “you are the most blessed land on earth and the most beloved to me and were it not for the fact that my own people have expelled me, I wouldn’t have left you.” He wouldn’t return for another 8 years until he came back as a conquerer. 13 years earlier Waraka had told him that he would be expelled and he was in disbelief. In Khatir said the prophet sws made a long dua asking Allah for protection in his journey. Abu Bakr planned the escape well. Abu Bakr had Asma, Abdullah Aisha and Abdur Rahman. He also had a daughter named Umm Kulsum who was born 8 months after his death. He told his daughter Aisha on his deathbed that she would have another sister. He was remarried and had an intuition from Allah it would be a girl. He told his son Abdullah a young intelligent kid, to listen to the people of Mecca and learn their plans. They paid little attention to him. He also had to bring food every morning to the cave for them.

Part 26. The prophet sws was one of the last ones to leave from Mecca to do the Hijra. Before him Umar left. Ali said “I don’t know of anyone else who did the Hijra publicly except for Umar, everyone else did it quietly. He packed his bags and his camels. He went to the Kaaba and did public tawaf and made a public announcement “O people of Mecca, whomever of you wishes that his mother loses her son or that his children are orphaned or that his wife is widowed, let him meet me at this valley at this time.” No one took Umars challenge. The prophet sws made a dua “ O Allah bless this deen with one of the two Umars.” He meant Umar Ibn Al Khattab or Abu Jahl was called Umar. Aisha ra said “I don’t remember a time except that both my parents were Muslim and that the prophet sws visited us every single day.” Aisha older sister Asma had a different mother who never became Muslim and Abu Bakr divorced her. So Abu Bakr prepared a camel. He then asked the prophet sws for permission to leave. All the sahabi asked for permission to go. The prophet sws said “wait , I am waiting for permission fromAllah for us to go.” Abu Bakr asked “Do you want my companionship on the trip?” Abu Bark then said “I prepared two camels for 4 months for travel.” Scholars say it was about 31/2 months actually. 8mins

You mention that Usman bin Talha converted before victory of Makkah but other sources suggest that he converted only after being returned the keys of the Kaabah by Ali (RA) on the orders of Prophet (PBUH) when the verse about trusts (4:58) was revealed .. Could you please clarify ? JazakAllah

The prophet sws said “I was born on a Monday, I became a prophet inna Monday, and I migrated on a Monday.” The migration happened on a Monday Of Muharram on the 13th year of prophethood. Aisha narrated that “on Monday in the middle of the day everyone slept because of the heat. Everything stops for the mid day nap. We saw a figure coming and he was wrapped with a turban over his face from the heat. We knew it was the prophet and he came and knocked on the door for permission to come in. We knew it must be important because he cane at this time of day. Abu Bakr granted him permission and the prophet sws came in and said “tell everyone to leave I must speak to you.” Abu Bakr said “ya rasul Allah it’s only your family (Aisha And Asma). The prophet sws said “I have been given permission by Allah to migrate”. Abu Bakr said “By my parents did he give permission for me to accompany you ?” The prophet sws said “yes.” Aisha said “I saw my father crying from joy” Abu Bakr said “I have prepared two camels” The prophet sws said “only if you let me pay fo the camel”. So Abu Bakr has to take the money. Asma Bint Abu Bakr made some bags of food for them quickly and she didn’t have a belt to tie up the food. So she took her own waist belt and and tore it in half. She used half of it to tie up the food. She became known as “she of two belts”. This was her lakab, title that was given to her because of this incident. Abu Bakr had 40 thousand dirhams. He was a rich man. But he spent 35 thousand buying slaves from the Quraysh and freeing them. He only had 5,000 left and he took all of it with him to Medina. Abu Kahafa the father of Abu Bakr, wa an open enemy of Islam. He he didn’t become Muslim until later after the conquest of Mecca. He came to Asma and Aisha and began to mock them. Your father left you with nothing? He took it all for his companion ??” Asma quickly grabbed her fathers money bag and filled it with pebbles and covered it with a cloth. She said “No he left us with this.” So Abu Kahaffa said “ok” and left.

My brother the reason why the prophet fasted was for only two reasons as he stated in one hadith and they are he was born on a Monday and the actions of the humans are presented to Allah so he said I want Allah to see me fasting when my account is presented to Him
