当時、ニースのロミジュリを観て、羽生選手のファンになりました。魂こもった演技に今見ても感動する。外見の美しさは、もちろんですが、ブレない精神、聡明で、礼儀正しく、感謝の気持ちを誰に対しても忘れない。全ての面が演技にも表れていると思います。羽生選手の演技は、どのプログラムも何度観ても感動する。羽生結弦のスケーティングが好き。これからも応援しています。

I'm amazed at how many interviews of Yuzuru Hanyu in Japanese I have already sat through when I don't understand one word... I enjoy seeing the young man's humble personality, and hearing his funny laugh-- he cracks me up when he breaks into a nervous laugh or giggle, and wishes up his eyes and ❤ face.. somehow I just want to remember him this way, before he was trying to be sexy. What he doesn't realize, I guess, is that he doesn't have to be sexy to be admired greatly, to be in our hearts and thoughts.

También veo sus entrevistas y tampoco entiendo nada pero su personalidad es cautivadora.. tiene un maravilloso sentido del humor.. es agradable.. es hermoso y muy inteligente.. Su dicción al hablar es impresionante.. desde niño se expresa muy bien.. Romeo y Julieta de yuzuru hanyu es lo mejor que he visto en mi vida... desde que lo encontré mi vida cambió para siempre.. soy nueva fanyu 🤗

Su Romeo y Julieta de 2012 cuando ganó su medalla de bronce en el campeonato mundial es una de las cosas más hermosas que he visto 😭😭😭 Su elegancia y belleza natural son espléndidos... Desde ese momento yuzuru Hanyu despegó y revolucionó el patinaje a niveles mágicos.. es una leyenda viviente ... ❤😍🙏🏻⛸️⛸️✨👑🌸✨🌸✨❤️🫂💕🌍

Yuzu is so amazing... His visions and goals were so clear since such young age... And he certainly have accomplished all of them.

So I translated 80% of the video. I'm no Hanyu so please don't expect perfection! xP 2:53 - Hanyu Commentating his 2012 Worlds FS Hanyu: So this is the quadruple jump Int: How was this? Hanyu: I think this was very good. I think the overall flow and my skating after the landing was good. As for the Ina Bauer mmm.... this was towards the end of the program so it was difficult not to lose my breath. Int: Ohh I see. So this is your step sequence Hanyu: This part was very tough, I had fallen down just before this and my legs were quite wobbly, so....I felt dizzy while doing my steps Int: Is that so? Hanyu: Yes. Int: It does not seem that way at all Hanyu: And this part, I was not able to do this last jump at the Nationals and GPF Int: But you were able to do it this time at Worlds. Hanyu: Yes Int: So you were able to overcome your past mistakes. Does that mean your past mistakes motivate you in some way or another? Hanyu: I tell myself not to make the same mistakes a lot; however, I had repeated the same mistake at two competitions, therefore, I was thinking that I must do it right this time. Int: The mistakes actually strengthen you it seems Hanyu: I would say so. The more mistakes I make the more frustrated I become, and I believe this frustration makes me want to do better next time. Int: What sort of things do you do in order to overcome your mistakes Hanyu: Basically focusing my training on those areas, increase the amount of practice I do with that part Int: And when that practice pays off in competition what do you feel? Normally would you not say that you are aiming to get the gold medal?? Why are you precisely aiming for "a spot"? Hanyu: Well...I believe I still have a long career ahead as an athlete, and it would not be easy to come between Kozuka, Oda and Takahashi...the so-called Three Top Athletes of Japan. Int: Oh really? Do you feel that as you watch them from nearby? Hanyu: I do feel that more so now that I am actually competing with them. Int: What would you say is one thing you are lacking compared to Takahashi? Hanyu: I believe it would be skating skills, such as the smoothness and artistry. I have to...how do I put it....improve it in a way so that it would grab the audience. 6:04 - Medals from Rostelecom and Worlds Int: To get something of this level at the age of 17....do you not ever feel like "this is enough"? Hanyu: Well yes for a certain period of time I do, such as a week. But after that period has gone past I regain that feeling of wanting to train for the next competition. 6:35 - What Kind of athlete Hanyu Wants to become Int: By Sochi, will you become an athlete that is good at jumps or spins, flexibility? Do you have an idea of what route you will take? Hanyu: I want to be able to do everything. Int: Well of course (Hanyu: haha) If you had to pick a characteristic what would it be? Hanyu: Characteristic wise, I would like to become an athlete that can do well in all aspects. Int: So you mean well-roundedness? Hanyu: Yes, I would like to build programs that are complete in every way. Int: How would you define a skate that is "complete"? Hanyu: Omitting any unnecessary sounds and force.... Int: No sounds!? Hanyu: Yes, as in preventing any roughness around the toe of the blade when skating, and things like beautiful body positioning in the air when jumping 7:47 - Int: I guess from now on when we watch your skate we should tune in and listen to how much sound you make. Would you say we should focus on those small details when we watch? Hanyu: Those things don't necessarily translate well through the screen, but I do think that would be reflected in the performance for everyone to see. So if everyone could watch attentively that would be good, as it will also be a great motivation for me. Int: Does your motivation increase when there are more people watching or cheering on for you? Hanyu: Yes, I cannot practice unless someone is constantly watching me, I'm the type that cannot skate unless there is someone there. Thanks for your translation. Though knowing from other sources that Yuzuru has been working consistently to reach his goals. This is the first time I saw the proof of what he had layout out how to reach and what are the perfection he wants to reach. As early as 17!!
