Pyroclastic Cloud can reach speeds of up to 450 MPH (USGS) and that plane, whose top speed would be around 200 - 250 MPH (and that is cruising speed, not just barely having taken off) actually out ran that cloud? And that 450 is a normal volcano not a 'super volcano'. Only in Hollywood, the ones who show that a bullet won't go through a car door.

Don't worry, if this movie was realistic at all he would have been dead long before that from the Pyroclastic cloud of the supervolcano. Pyroclastic clouds from REGULAR volcanos erupting can go up to 700km/hr and 1000 degrees c. I'm guessing the eruption from a SUPER VOLCANO would be -slightly- worse.
