I spent about a weekend to change my oil. I researched to build ramps then I built them out of wood. Then researched to change the oil on my Verano and got it done. I tell my kids we're not done until we properly dump the old oil.

Thanks for posting. My mom has to have her oil changed and just last weekend, I changed the drivers side tail light. I know these professionals charge a lot, so it seems easy enough to do.

Good question, at a minimum if you don't have jacks, I would use some drive on ramps, you will need to slide under the car to access the drain plug. While a lift is not required it can make work easier.

Do you know if the oil pan uses a gasket or sealant?

My understanding it that most Ecotec engines require a gasket maker, sealant or RTV to be used between the mating surfaces.
