I’m having a connection issue with my battery and terminals for the relay on my 2005 suburban 1500 z71. How did you wire your connectors to the battery?
@3Wheels1Block
@3Wheels1Block 11 күн бұрын
I removed the factory rubber boot and used a 3/8-16 x 1/2" bolt, that allowed easier access and more contact room. You can also get a bolt extension or add a circuit at your local parts store.

@ I tried to do that but it blew my starter fuse, it kept trying to start the car without the key even being in the ignition. It kept making clicking noises and turning the headlights/fog lights on. I talked to my mechanic friend but he was also stumped as well, not really sure what to do from here now…
@3Wheels1Block

@johnflynn8363 interesting... Are you using a harness to install your light bar?
@johnflynn8363
@johnflynn8363 10 күн бұрын
@ yes I am, I bought a 21” light bar from nilight that included everything, it freaked me out that it kept trying to start on its own though
@3Wheels1Block
@3Wheels1Block 10 күн бұрын
@johnflynn8363 that is odd, did you ensure that the positive terminal (red) is connected to the red part of the harness. And that it is not making any contact with the chassis or engine bay? If it is not I would say that what is happening is the relay is mis-wired. This will back feed current from the positive battery terminal starter wire, also causing a back feed through the circuit. It most definitely sounds like a short to ground. You can directly connect the light bar to the battery to test and make sure it's not the light bar. I would suspect a fault or mis-wired relay.

Good question, at a minimum if you don't have jacks, I would use some drive on ramps, you will need to slide under the car to access the drain plug. While a lift is not required it can make work easier.

@3Wheels1Block
@3Wheels1Block 19 күн бұрын
Thanks! If you are talking about replacement parts and paint you could be looking between $3500-$5000 unfortunately. Typically the older vehicles need a complete paint job in order to match the color, due to the age of the paint.

This worked to get the rusted on rear hub assembly’s on a 2011 mazda3. I didn’t use an impact, just took time tightening the bolts I ran through on opposite sides. I’d recommend getting a second nut to put on the end of the bolt so there is more surface area and you don’t bugger up the threads. Way better than a hammer.

@3Wheels1Block I was a little sceptical when I first saw it, and was concerned about damaging anything on the vehicle. However I changed 4 hub and bearing assembly's on my 2013 Chrysler 200 without issues. 3 out of 4 came off with one good smack, the 4th one took 2-3 good smacks, but when it broke loose I thought to myself, worth every penny 😁

My man so I got a question on this one so it’s the big debate do you do the bodywork before or after the epoxy primer I was curious about which way works good
@3Wheels1Block
@3Wheels1Block Ай бұрын
Great question! It totally depends on what step you are on and which primer you use. I've used epoxy as a base and then 2 part acrylic over top to do boy work. I have also used epoxy before base coat after bodywork
@mississippiwrenches295
@mississippiwrenches295 Ай бұрын
@ i gotcha so it sounds like it can be either or
@3Wheels1Block

It does, it depends on the product, speedokotes epoxy allows some light sanding(320/400 or red scuff pad), where as finish one will not tolerate any sanding.

That's a quality thermostat, built to fail in the open position. Wish they would have used that on my Jasper replacement engine. That cost me a weekend of tearing the intake manifold off and replacing gaskets with real rubber coated metal ones. ones the shop used was plastic and doing 3 oil changes. To remove all the antifreeze coolant.
