You are actually correct. I have a 2012 TL. When I had it in for some routine servicing, they gave me a 2017 TLX on loan and I have to say I like my version a lot more. Like you said, a more solid appearance and my interior is nicer in my opinion since it still has lots of buttons as opposed to a touch screen. TLX also has that idiotic push button gear shift and eBrake which I absolutely hate.

Purchased a pre-owned 2012 TL about 6 months ago, and I can truly say I've enjoyed the vehicle to the fullest! A great buy and I'm definitely staying on the Acura Bandwagon for years to come! #GreatCar and awesome performance. It's great on gas!

I can totally relate. I just bought one three days ago with the advanced package, after years of rebuilding credit and finally being confident enough with finances. Even being 8 years old, you would never know by sitting in it. It's amazing, and I love it. Do you still have yours?

Bought an Acura TL in February of 2012. After nearly three years, I have to honestly say it is the best car I ever owned. Fantastic value for the money. The car looks good, handles great, has an awesome ride and has a fantastic and user friendly interior. Definitely GREAT value for the money.

I just got a 2012 acura tl sh-awd ....Best Acura I've ever had!!! I had a 2006 acura tl and I loved it , It felt much better than my old 2004 bmw 5 series I got a 2009 lexus last year and that car was embarrassing to drive ... that car sucks!! Now with my new 2012 acura tl I feel like a king and yet have no problem getting from 0 to 60 in 5.4 seconds thanks acura I will be waiting for your next tl luxury sport generation!!!!

Have had a 2004 TL, and 2010 TSX V6 Tech, and now a 2012 TL SH-AWD Tech (wish it were the Advanced), and I absolutely love the feel of the SH-AWD. The car feels solid, super stable, it's quick, smooth, quiet, just a really nice car. The 6 speed transmission in Sport mode shifts surprisingly quick for a standard Tiptronic transmission. The car feels quicker than the numbers suggest in publications.

I love the looks of the updated 2012-2014 Acura TL, and I like everything else about the car except for three things that I wish were even an option... This is just personal preference, but first is now one of my favorite features after getting used to it... Is Adaptive Cruise Control. Second is HID Xenon High Beam Headlights. Third is Automatic Windshield Wipers. I care about the auto wipers the least of the three, but I don't understand how you can get these three features on a 2010 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 Sedan, but you can't even get any of these features as an option in a fully loaded 2014 Acura TL 3.5 or 3.7 model. With how nice these cars are, you'd think it would at least have this stuff available as an option for the money you're paying to load these cars up when they're new. No joke, my old 1999 Buick Park Avenue even had automatic windshield wipers. Anyway, it's not the end of the world, but I wouldn't buy this car mainly because of these features it's lacking. Unless I went for a used and rare 2012-14 6 speed manual TL SH-AWD model... I could always have an aftermarket 4300-6000k HID high beam kit installed in it. I'd still miss the adaptive cruise, but not as much in a 6MT model because no car with a manual has this type of cruise control. Anyway, I really enjoyed the video. I definitely gave it a like.

I meant "Rain Sensing Automatic Windshield Wipers". That was a pretty cool and high tech feature to have in a Buick from 1999. That was a really nice car that never gave me any problems. Best riding car I've ever owned by far.

Just bought the 2012 tl tech, crystal black it everything the video says and more, the six speed trans. very smooth and very quick 0 to 60. the surround system sounds like a home system using the dvd audio disks, very nice car

The Porshe Cayenne competes with the BMW X6 & Infiniti FX. The Acura MDX competes with the BMW X5, Infiniti JX, Audi Q7, Lexus GX & Mercedes ML. So that all depends on what you are looking for.

I bought my 2013 TL during the worst times in the world for trying to buy a car... the cars out there were terrible and the price was sky high... it's probably the best over all car I've ever driven. Its not winning on the track. It's an all around great car!

This car is definitely a step in the right direction in terms of the exterior design. personally I think the messed up the 09 model horribly with the redesign. As an owner of an 07, I have not met one person that doesnt like the way that car is designed, while most people hate the new design. I really dont think that acura is quite there as a direct competitor to their German counterparts, with a little more effort and redesign, the could come close quickly

Acura TL, i believe is the best luxury bargain in the US. Now that they've downplayed that front beak, and made the automatic 6 speed instead of five, it's an even better bargain now.

Acura TL gives more value for the dollar. That is why I say the TL competes quite well with the German luxury group. As previously stated, only two cars could pull me out of my TL: Audi S5 or BMW M3, not an Infiniti. I remain curious and confident that the 2014 redesign will be even stronger and more competitive.

Nice video, but...... he didn't mention some of the best features - i.e., the sport mode - completely changes the transmission, paddle shifters (in either drive or sport mode), keyless entry/start up, or what the technology actually does. Get over the grill - if you own one, (I have all black 2011) - it is way too cool. This video should have more style/intrigue - like they did for the Range Rover....

@dbflip00z It isnt 55k+ car. fully loaded is around $45,6xx which is still a better buy than its German counterparts with the features offered on the Acura TL. Plan to buy one once Im done with college.

Sorry but the RX does compete in the same class as the Infiniti JX, the RX is the smaller alternative to the GX and the LX the same way cars like the BMW X3, Mercedes GLK, Infiniti EX & Audi Q5 are all smaller alternatives to thier larger siblings which I might add are rivals to the RX in the Luxury market. For comparison sake the only way the RX can be compared to the Infiniti JX is by pricing since they both fall under similar price brackets hence why customers may cross shop both vehicles.

The TL competes with the German cars because for 40-45k, you get what 65k and up buys you with a comparable Audi or BMW. I love watching people driving Audi A4s or BMW 3 series, with no navigation or blue tooth capability, because it was too expensive to upgrade....the TL competes and it does it quite well. I am speaking as an owner.

@Markley92 So your point is if you dont get German get an Acura?? That makes no sense. Infiniti is the main alternative to German luxury & performance. If your looking for a Japanese alternative to a BMW then look no further then a G37 sedan which composes a class leading 328 HP engine not to mention it is way above the Acura is terms of prestige, Luxury, performance and technology. Sure Acura will give you more value for the dollar but you cant compare it to a Lexus or Infiniti in this segment
