Took my son to see his first Apple Cup. I graduated in ‘74 from WSU and thought I’d seen some great ones ( including the Snow Bowl with Phillip Bobo and Bledsoe). This was simply the best ever.

What a crazy night. A few things: It was way colder than it looked. The wind was going through there and it was pretty miserable. The bench. Towards the end of the game and going into OT someone ripped up a bench from the top of the student side and passed it all the way down the stands...Pullman When the game ended, if you were on the student side, you had no choice but to go on the field. The rush of people forced you down there, it was insane!!! I definitely wont forget that night and that game - regardless of WSU's record that year.

I've had the pleasure of being at some awesome Cougar games, a lot of being Apple Cups (The Gibson catch to end the 2007 AC was amazing in person). It seems the last few have been comebacks or close games against lesser teams. This one was different, to make the largest comeback in AC history at home against such a heavily favored UW team was incredible. We'll be back, and it won't be long. This game was the first of many great games to come for the Crimson and Gray. Go Cougs!

Yeah, the Huskies' recruiting class looks pretty good this year. One thing they will need to work on is their defensive penalties, those were just way too sloppy and really hurt them for no good reason. Next year for the Cougs might see some good improvement, but I'm not holding my breath for obvious reason. However, at Texas Tech Leach didn't typically need top recruits. He mostly stuck with 3 star as well as a few 4 star recruits, and he led them to bowl games almost every season.

What a frustrating game... The dawgs just beat themselves. Not sure about that false start call, I thought it was BS. THen the interception? Price gets blamed for it, in reality, that particular play (a flip to Sankey as the pocket collapses) had been very successful earlier in the season. What it boils down to is Sark should've tried for the end zone at the very end of regulation instead of counting on the field goal. 48 seconds and two time outs remaining was plenty of time...
