R.I.P. Mike Leach. I remember watching this game live. I was so happy when Wazzu won. Even though I'm a Washington Huskies fan, I always enjoyed watching the Cougs be good. Made the Apple Cup more high-stakes, even more meaningful, and Mike Leach made that happen. He will be dearly missed.

As a UW Husky fan to me this kind of game were never any upset. Mike Leach is a legit coach and always were and always will be. If we would have had someone like him at UW, we would have legitimately been in the CFP every year with the talent we had at that time. Love Jimmy Lake now, but Leach to me were fun too watch and listen to. Chris Peterson didn't want it and always did seem a bit lack luster in his area for where he were coaching at. Loved him too.

For how bad USC played and with all of the injuries, it was still an enjoyable game to watch. I love trying to see Darnold make magic happen, even if it doesn't happen. Every play you think, oh shit what's he going to do? Great quality to have and a great team. They'll bounce back and get healthy even without a buy week. USC's first 5 games were against bowl teams of the previous year, the only school in the nation to play 5 bowl teams.

Washington state hasn't done anything to prove it and ,the truth is, they probably won't until bowl season. The pac 12 is straight garbage this year, so I wouldn't be surprised if they went undefeated. But that's really besides the point. USC does this every year. This isn't a one time occurrence, they are always hyped up as one of the best teams in the nation and always fall short when it comes time to prove it.

I really hope USC can bounce back from this. They're the only team imo that can represent the PAC-12 in the playoffs and actually play a good game, and it'd be nice to see how they do. If they can go undefeated for the rest of the season and some big teams lose, they can make it back. I hope they do, because when Darnold is good he is fun as hell to watch.

Harris Highlights he definitely had a good shot. But if he was able to throw away the ball at the end, converting a 3rd and 10 when you need to with no timeouts on the road is one of the hardest things in the game, especially so late in the game and when you hadn't even gotten one first down on the drive. I'd still love to see Darnold get into a good rhythm and come back, since he's amazing to watch when he's on point.

Didn't USC finish 5-7 that season? I don't think that USC was obviously the better team. Helton had better produce this shortened season (if there is even CFB this Fall at all...if not Helton will get a reprieve, and will have some new blood on the Roster. He is quickly running out of time though, and most SC fans are begging for Urban Meyer...who, if indeed is hired....will do his 4-5 and sign off again lol). Oregon is building quite the team...Utah is recruiting like pants right now, and they could fall way off in 2020. The Pac12 will/should be between Oregon and SC. SC is following the Texas example....have great Recruiting Classes, and do nothing with them.

I love how this is a "breakout game" for WSU when SC was literally decimated with 8 starters on the bench. But hey, 2nd stringers can put up a fight too! USC will bounce back and most likely take the pac-12, hopefully the committee takes into consideration they almost beat WSU with half a team.
