The DB9-era cars are so much better-looking than the current DB11-era. Also, perfectly smooth shifts are anethema to character. I don't want my sporty cars to be smooth, I want some reasonable amount of jolt to communicate the event; that there is some finesse to getting that jolt to be less jolting only adds to the fun.

I've always loved the sound of this V8, although I have the sense that it softened in the 4.7 version! The 4.3 sounds more "hard rock" and it is much louder too! But either way, this V8 is one of the best sounding V8s ever! 🤘 The looks are incredible, the car absolutely doesn't show its 16 years, both inside and out! And the colour combo of this spec is amazing, Emerald Green metallic with matching carpeting, Caramel Brown leather and Red Open Pore wood! Gosh! 💗

That caught my attention and I look for a answer in other comments. I didn’t find it. But I think that panel is made of wood! That wood has a pattern that can look weird if you think it’s smooth as the rest of the leather trim. Once you understand it makes sense and looks very nice indeed!😅

You should go and check out E85 Z4. (2.5 or 3.0 in USA) I feel like you said you felt in an Aston every time I drive it. Sometimes I put the top down and cruise, sometimes I drive it as a sports car. Nice inline 6 sound, looks good and everyone thinks it's costs more than it actually does. :)
