The CA door handles are VERY easy to check the electrical integrity. If you have a blown F61 fuse, pull out all the CA door handles and MEASURE the resistance of the supply and GNDE of the door handle itself. For the E9X, measure pin 3 and 2 of the door handle connector. POLARITY MATTERS as there is a diode in this circuit. A non-"shorted" door handle will read north of 6 mega-ohms while a "shorted" CA door handle will read in the kilo-ohms.

Another great vid. I will have to try this. Same issues with #61 fuse. Dealer dx, CAS and a host of possibilities and $$$! My symptoms are identical to yours (E93 M3). Key remote works but not the door sensors. I am going to try this. As a proof of concept in the interim, I will disconnect the drivers door handle. Replace the 5 amp fuse then test to see if the passenger door works? This should at least let me know if the drivers door is the culprit. Then I’ll get a replacement? Thanks your videos are really helpful. P.s. your CIC vids are great help also 😊

Questions...didn't look like you disconnected the black cable of the battery before removing the handle..is ok to do so?

I didn’t disconnect The battery and I didn’t have any issues.

Why am I not surprised. when things like this were designed to fail straight from factory. That's a pretty significant burning in a spot that is not serviceable. It should be placed under recalls. But.. we all wish we lived in a perfect world lol 😆

Recall? As if. Given BMW electrical they'd have to recall the whole car.
