Den Vergleich zum 6-Zylinder habe ich nur mit dem "alten" 525d E60. Der Antritt im neuen 525d fühlt sich besser an, obwohl der 6-Zylinder Sound fehlt. Im Vergleich zum 520d merkt man das der 525d nicht nur 34PS mehr hat, sondern auch ein Turbo mehr. Der Antritt ist um einiges besser, die Leistung ist schon eher da. Auch bei hohen Geschwindigkeiten hat der 525d mehr Reserve um schneller zu werden.

man I had tis model but 520d I just hated the mirror triangle and door panel gap I thought mine had a defect but looks like yours is the same I had piano black central consol finish gets scratch so fast the leather on the steering wheel not very good as well the leather from chairs is kept in place so ugly with little graphs like aftermarket chair covers and I had black exterior looks nice but its so sensitive a few car washes and you can already see millions of tiny scratches all over.

In Germany / Netherlands it was always an option, but it might be different in other countries.

No, you are not. The BMW 525d F10 has been a 6 cylinder since its introduction until 09 / 2011, in that month BMW downsized the 525d F10 to a 4 cylinder. Same goes for the 528i, from 6 to 4 cylinders.
