Also, stock GT500's from 2010-2012 (550hp) ran mid 12's at 114-116... 180 lbs heavier and 100 hp more this was a even heavier convertible. The convert 500's ran 12.6's at 115 all day.

Tire only a stock 11/12 GT500 is an easy 121-124 mph car. Saying "stock" with a 11/12 GT500 is putting a huge hadicap on them, because they have zero traction on stock rubber.

chameleone79 Maybe it is stock on a cold night. My 2012 stock Boss ran a 115mph pass one time on drag radial and it was maybe 90 degree. The pass was made with Trackey and drag radial with 7500 rpm shift and a 4200 rpm launch. The car had about 4000 miles on it.

100% stock suspension and engine with Drag Radials.... that's it. I would have gone 11's on stock tires except the wheel spin on the 1-2 is crazy!!! Now I have to wait for cool air again.... its hot in S. FL now..

He's talking about a cold air intake, which they will never give you a better OEM one over aftermarket. The Boss 302 Intake Manifold is the best out atm and it comes factory.

lol i went 11.97 @ 115 in 1460 DA with my stock 13 boss on 18inch nitto nt555r's.... that was with a 1.71.... then i cut a 1.64 and missed third... regardless... nice pass.

dang...I didn't think that Boss would be that quick off the line...maybe like a few feet or so, but dang... :D, but then again, the GT500 is a good hundred pounds or so heavier and that looked like a convertible. That time is impressive regardless!

Rippee42 is so spot on. Cabudget09, drag radials will help with times but not speed. This BOSS ran 3-5 mph faster then a stock BOSS. Def at least a tune on it. The car is to heavy to run over 113 mph. Guy in the GT500 was sleeping. He didn't leave for at least 2 sec after the green.

i have seen a boss do this on a stock tune without the track key. it definitely is stock. now have a real shop who knows how to tune it and it will be really fast. 444hp my ass, i think it is closer to 480hp. horse power tv dynoed a stock coyote and it made 416 to the crank at 6500rpm and 465 at 7300rpm. ford is underating these new 5.0's. search 2013 cobra jet.

its still basically the same car. SVT still makes them and puts the snake on them. so technically it still is a cobra but under a retro "Shelby" name

i ran my stock 13 boss and it went 12.7, but the mph was only 110 in the best run with 60 degree air, almost no humidity 200 ft. above sea level. if you are as stock as i am i got ripped off.

I have the track key and have run it with both keys, it makes no difference at the drag strip IMO. The launch control is useless too... better launching it manually.

hahahahahahahaha i cant stop laughing because there is a video of the Chevy engineers running the ZL1 at the track with drag radials and ran an 11.9...... Boss 302- naturally aspirated 5.0l bone stock- 11.8 Camaro ZL1- supercharged 6.2l- 11.9 so much for Fords needing boost to beat N/A GM's :)

Boss does not make enough hp to run 117 mph. Maybe a stock 112-114 mph. Car has to have a tune fr the extra mph.
