I absolutely HATED the idea of a Christmas show, and as I was deployed during the summer, I wasn't able to trek out and see the Cadets at all. But watching this, I really enjoyed their execution, and the music. I regret hating this show now.

I actually LOVED this show. I think It will do extremely well this year. It's gorgeous and It's very refreshing. It's also Just not the same old Christmas we are use to. I loved how the presented it in 3 different ways. In my opinion I think it's between The Cadets and Carolina Crown this year. Both PHENOMENAL shows compared to what's being put out on the field this year. I think the Blue Devils might have a chance depending on how the judge react to their show.

Finally figured out what part is omitted from the finals CD... I remember reading 31 sec was removed and I could never tell where. It's 10:41-11:20 you can't tell in the cd. Wish they coulda put that in the cd though :(

I like this show a lot more than Crowns mostly cause it's not a clusterfuck of music. There's so much happening in Crown's show musically it doesn't catch me.

This is America, even if you're not a Christian I'm pretty sure the Christmas season is hard to escape. That's like saying people who hate sushi couldn't identify with Cavalier's Samurai, or people who didn't read Romeo and Juliet in high school would be lost in the middle of Phantom's show last year. Hopkins put out a "love it or hate it" show (like he has NEVER done in the past?). It's Christmas music and lots of people love it. Maybe you should propose a show to your liking next year.

I don't think they should've done a Christmas theme. It will be seen as out of place in the summer. However, if they did a winter theme or snow theme, it might be more effective. I think cuz Christmas is so attached to a certain time of the year and exclusive to other cultures' traditions it is not as effective because its hard when you are fighting a person's seasonal mood but impossible when you're audience doesn't all have that nostalgia from Christmas.

they do that so people in the nose bleed seats can hear them. A lot of corps are trying to get the best crowd experience. and amplification is one of the things they need to show the music. yea. in the 90's 80's and 70's they didnt have amplification because they didnt have the technology for it. I saw the mother fukkers live. rehearsal and live. dci needs amps for the trumpet screamers no doubt. they are making it better for crowds.

Cadets are amazing this year. Best visual show, best percussion, best guard, next best brass to Crown...despite the scores. Definitely should win again this year. Crown should be 2nd. Phantom 3rd. BD 4th.

Trust me the cadets lead trumpets can play loud enough. when you got 1 maybe 2 to 3 trumpets screaming, when im in the 3rd tier in the last row you need amps. and you can hear them. they are there for crowd experience. Listen this is freaking 2013. NOT 1950 LIKE EVERY PERSON WANTS IT. GET THE HELL OVER IT. SHIT CHANGES. if we thought like you we would still have steam engine cars on the road. But that tangent aside, I've never said the music is bad. In fact Christmas music is usually very well written and the arrangement here is excellent. I'm saying their GE sucks.
