Crooks was spotted on the roof 26 minutes prior to the shooting with a range finder. The PA State Police counter sniper unit were inside of the building when they should have been up on that roof. Sheer negligence, at best. He was spotted by spectators 3 minutes prior to the shooting who immediately relayed his presence to the police. Yet there wasn't a single effort to get Trump off the stage. This whole incident is highly suspicious... Incompetence and negligence on multiple fronts, at best. Saying it was a setup is, objectively, a sensible conclusion once you consider all other factors. The fbi found nothing on his phone and computer, no social media. Registered republican who donates to democrats. Had remote "packages" but nothing indicating how he learned to construct them? Ties to Blackrock and many other details that shouldn't be overlooked.

What’s crazy to me is how people think this is “staged.” Each time I ask someone, have you ever shot a firearm past 25 yards? I have, 300 yards couple weekends each month with a 7-08mm round not even a 5.56x45. Let me tell you, to have him turn his head last minute with the round that close is not possible to be staged. Everything down to the millisecond (wind, breathing, timing) counts. Why the shooter wasn’t neutralized before or what were his motives is another story however his shot placement and BARELY missing his target is clearly not “staged.” Next time anybody has a chance, go to a local range and try taking an AR pattern rifle out shooting 25 yards or beyond consistently at a stationary target (let alone moving one). You’ll see just how difficult it is therefore how impractical the theory he planned to turn his head is.

What many people are overlooking is that 2 minutes had passed from the time security was alerted of a suspicious man on top of the roof to the moment shots were fired. In this this time they could have interrupted the rally politely asking Trump to step away from the microphone until they further assessed the situation. When it was safe for Trump to speak again he could have resumed. Even if they were waiting for clearance to take the shot on the sniper does mean they needed to wait to take Trump down from the stand. There are many levels of security at a presidential rally. (ground level and top ) All security is in constant communication with one another (microphones in their ears ) so they are always alerted every second.

Seems like they got lax... Been a while since there's been any real incident. I once watched a show (on actual TV, years ago!) where a fire expert explained that after a severe forest fire, where houses burned, the people in the nearby danger zones would take scrupulous care to cut the brush & trees all around their houses to the recommended distance, and take numerous other precautions to stay safe. But super predictably (as the expert had observed several cycles of it happening), before long the people would let down their guard a little. Forest fires seemed to happen only in far away counties or states -- and Hell, shake shingles look really nice! And everyone wants a few bushes around, & mowing far out's a pain in the butt. I forget the timeline exactly, but pretty sure he said after 10 years or so you could hardly tell that any trauma had taken place, or any lessons had been learned. So I guess we're talking about human nature, to a degree, to explain what happened in Pennsylvania.
