Hi gnesh, you said we can't engine runs dry, so what we do in the last stage before coolent , how we can empty the whole system before we put coolent ???? Can it run dry until complete water comes out ????

Hi, you’ll have to continuously keep pouring distilled water into the coolant tank. The engine should at no point run dry.

Hi Ganesh, Which coolant you’re using ? GM LMVs commonly using Dex-Cool coolants or GM 6277M GM approved coolants. That’s not available in our area. By the way I’m from Kerala I’ve one Spark 2011 model. Currently I’m having the engine overheating issues. I couldn’t find specific coolant.

Hi, we used a locally available coolant. You can use any coolant for the system as long as the system is properly flushed, cleaned and the older remnants and particles are removed. The premixed pink coolant is usually preferred but the older green one works just fine with distilled water. Please ensure that your coolant system is flushed once in 3 years, the coolant pump or water pump is changed along with the timing belt and idling pulley. And new coolant is used.

ganesh do we need to wait for the thermostat valve to open up?
@GaneshBalan4 ай бұрын
Yes. Only then will the coolant flush circulate around the complete system.

Since you have owned VW Polo, do you think one need to flush/drain/fill the VW Long Life G12 Evo coolant at 3-4 years ?
@GaneshBalan4 ай бұрын
It’s best to have the coolant replaced every 4 years. Coolant degrades over time especially losing its ability to prevent corrosion and lubricating the water pump. In any case, the water pumps is to be replaced at 90,000 km or 6 year mark so you’ll have to drain the coolant completely and refill afresh.

Hi Ganesh, What is the gauge thing with markings from 0 to 200? Looks like it is connected to the HP side of the HVAC system. is it freon pressure meter or something?
@GaneshBalan4 ай бұрын
That’s the pressure gauge of the CNG kit he had installed. It’s not being used and I’ve been asking him to remove the whole system.
