tfw your corp doesn't even need screamers cause they're so in tune that the overtones sound like real notes.

Hot take, this is the best brass hit of the decade, possibly of all time.

2012: the year Carolina Crown was well and truly screwed.
@cjags12326 жыл бұрын
Ryan Boots Brass can’t carry an entire corps to a championship. Crown 2012 was dirty visually, and Percussion was very dirty. BD beat them fairly
@markusjarvela61155 жыл бұрын
Corbin Buckley but crown won visual tho what are you talking about
@darukruk88905 жыл бұрын
Visual, both bd and crown tied. It was colorguard and percussion. Colorguard got 3rd and percussion got 6th place!
@cjags12324 жыл бұрын
Yes they both tied visual. BD bested Crown in GE, guard and drums. End of story

At DCI Atlanta, my friends and i got a decibel reader in their circle and it was louder than if you were standing directly behind a jet engine. And it was glorious. I would give my first unborn child to have marched crown in 2012 and 2013
@dzinator42254 жыл бұрын
how many decibels was it?
@mewja5673 жыл бұрын
apparently more than 150db
@damienrodriguez943 жыл бұрын
If it was that high then you would at least need to cover you ears or risk having hearing issues. No one would ever want to have zero hearing protection around jet engines. I know because I work on them.
@FrozenFire0473 жыл бұрын
@@damienrodriguez94 this isn't a jet engine though. it's sole purpose is to be listened to. worth it
@keemez2 жыл бұрын
what Erica forgot to mention was that she meant 300 yards directly behind a jet engine

The last 20 seconds has got to be the most powerful brass moment I've ever heard in Drum Corps history. It was amazing to get my face melted off live.

Oh what I’d give to hear the hit at 2:17 in person. I can’t imagine how loud and gorgeous it must’ve sounded at finals. So well balanced, and you can hear every part of the ensemble working so well together. I love hearing the contras especially, as they don’t always seem to carry well over recordings, but their line is so powerful that you can still hear it over the recordings with such amazing clarity.
@ISGLLC12 жыл бұрын
Somethings money can't buy... the triple hop at the end by the director simply says it all. Just watch 2:20 - 23. That's a feeling that can only be explain by directing such a sound..

It's because they're sprinting the whole time. Moving makes playing another different beast. If you listen to their show, the sound will change a little when they are standing still and when they are moving. It's all tension.

@jonathonnuzum22208 жыл бұрын
You're kidding, right?... Michael Klesch is their arranger, the one conducting is the brass caption head Matt Harloff.

+Jonathon Nuzum I did mean Matt. Thanks.
@WierdKid2211 жыл бұрын
Not a single movement, if you were deaf, you wouldn't even be able to tell if they were playing at that volume, or playing at all. They just don't show it, and to be that beautiful and amazing, THAT is what takes skill.
@Joel1111111 жыл бұрын
This is just proof that the only reason BD even came close to Crown in brass was because Crown had much harder drill.
