Thanks for all of the information. Turns out that I had the exact same problem. I followed your steps, and I had the exact same outcome. It is wild to be able to type in a problem. Have a couple or more clips on how to fix it. Then, when you are done, it works just like in the video. Thank you for the steps and all of the information you provided.

Follower video and worked like a charm. Seems like later year models have a little harder time pulling the bottom ac knob portion off after the 2 torx, but made it work. Thanks for posting! You saved the day.

My daughters 2012 had same problem. Disconnected everything even the battery to clear error codes and worked for a year. Recently same problem and did procedure again. And everything working as should. I think thus is a common problem with dodge/ dodge journeys..

hi thanks for you excellent videos. i just install oem mopar kit on a journey 2014. and have the same issue like this you posted. on the install i have to disconect connector A, D ON PCM bellow glove comparment. i have to take to the dealer i have no ac radio like you video . any ideas thanks again.

Your amazing.. My problem with my car is when I push the off switches on the radio and AC it want turn off and when I try to turn them on they take forever to come on also my radio want even turn on for days at a time but my CD player will play.. I have told the dealership about it time and time again they did nothing now the warranty is out I'm stuck with it.. This problem continues to kill my battery I have replaced it 4 times..i know that's the reason, I have a new alternator and new terminal cables

I had the same problem, took out the main unit and put it back in and it started working again.. bought a replacement.. That I don't even need anymore lol but, I'll probably end up keeping it just in case.

What are you calling the main unit? The entire center stack?

@@DonnaDeen13 Not the entire center stack. Just the receiver (control unit). When I unplugged it and plugged it back in, it started working again. Before this it would occasionally freeze on the SAT Radio source, pulling the radio fuse in the passenger side kick panel for 15 minutes would usually fix that. Sorry I wasn't clear, I used to drink a lot back then lol 😂

helped? Buttom ng to ac doesn't come on so no circulation for air..I'm in Florida it's a must bave.usually my husband takes care of this but he passed away suddenly 90 days GO. An you recommend a place that wo t take a grieving Widow to the cleaners? It's so hard to drive anywhere in the heat. Do I go to a dealer or do I go to a little repair shop because it seems like a little fit and if I wasn't grieving so bad I could probably try to fix it myself so any recommendations will be greatly appreciated thank you so much Susan Bailey

Did you wind up getting it fixed? I too live in Florida and I’m dealing with stage IV CANCER. I’VE HELP SO MANY PEOPLE AND NOW I CAN’T FIND ANYONE TO HELP ME. I WILL EVEN PAY THEM. THE DEALERSHIP IS A RIP OFF. I THINK SOMEONE TOLD ME IT WOULD COST ME $400 FOR THEM TO LOOK AT IT. My defroster is stuck on heat I’m going to try and attempt this on my own. I’m going to have to buy the tester first.

Easier fix unhook battery post all you have to do is break electric circuit and computer reboots

@@Sean-vx3xx it's the craziest thing man. So under the passenger glove box there is another fuse box. My dad took it to the shop and the guy found out that there was a bad fuse in the fuse box underneath that glove box. All that headache for a freaking fuse.

@@Sean-vx3xx hey so basically whats going on with you guys when the battery is disconnected and conected again in resets your air to its regular system wich are diffrent depending on how many actuators you have so basically causes car to either only blow hot or only blow thru defrost and floor so you might have your maine actuator broken or mode actuator broken

Nope, just turning it off awhile and restarting it magically fixes it. Last night when leaving work everything was fine then everything wasn't, the AC would run about a minute before cutting off, no screen, no controls, I restarted several times with no change, was hot as hell figured I'd figure it out today, BUT, a few minutes in a convenience store and I come back and start it up and it's "fixed". So still a mystery. Dodge is shit!

Codes won’t work on these crap cars cause Chrysler is known for pathetic lazy wiring, so it might say one thing is the issue and then it’s NOT cause it’s wired wrong. Our journey 09 is literally possessed. Horn goes OFF whenever it wants, even when it’s off in middle of the night! (Yes we took out that fuse) now our radio is black and won’t turn on after we had to jump the car to get it started (with a 4 month old new battery!) and the radio fuse m12 30amp is fine.

...This is a BS video.....Bottom part doesnt even pop out...Thers another bolt behind main panel thats holding it......You have to literraly take the dash off...😡
