Did you remove the resonator or leave it on? It sounds good. I'm wanting to put a 40 on my 2017 but I don't want it too loud. Yours sounds just right.

Just recently did this exact swap on my f150, be warned the drone is awful at highway speeds, but it has the sweetest sound ever once you step on it.

502BIKELIFE I’m pretty sure you have 2 1/2 inch exhaust pipes like the rest of the f150s so I’d say get a flowmaster 40 series with a 2.50 inlet and 2.50 outlet to line up with your existing pipe, and just head to advance auto and you can get the rest of the 2.50 pipe to make it all fit together. The drone isn’t that bad now that I’m used to it after driving for a little you learn to like it honestly.

502BIKELIFE no matter what you do to the exhaust it won’t sound bad, trust me flowmasters on F-150s are the sweetest sound known to man, I strongly recommend it.

I put the super 40 on my 2012 5.0 and noticed while I’m drive anything above 2000 rpm the exhaust sounds changes from the deep tone in lower rpms and then to almost a whistle at high rpm I’m wondering if yours does the same thing, however while reving it in park it stays deep the whole time

Hey I was wanting to add this to my 2010 f150 xlt and the truck has a 5.4l v8 triton engine in it. I was wondering if the drone would be to loud on the inside to listen to music. I do a lot of highway driving to our deer lease.

I got the flowmaster 40s on my 5.0. Honestly, not at all. To me it’s the perfect balance of a nice sound vs. cabin noise

Sawyer Bentley I took mine to my local muffler shop and they just replaced the muffler and welded the super 40 in its place
