2012 Fairy Festival with Rockford Dance Company at Womanspace: Maypole Dance

Twelve dancing fairies from Rockford Dance Company performed a Maypole dance choreographed by new Artistic Director Matthew Keefe as over 250 fairies and fairy-lovers enjoyed the 4th annual Fairy Festival at Womanspace in Rockford IL. Families and guests of all ages strolled the grounds and art gallery at Womanspace, while fairies led a scavenger hunt through the beautiful gardens, the magical pine forest, and out onto the Labyrinth on the prairie. There were ballets performed on the green by Rockford Dance Company and guests made fairy crowns and wands to take home. Wonderland Books & Toys and Faeriefeather Design joined us with fairy delights to purchase and Alter Ego Face & Body Paint had a never-ending line of little fairies awaiting their artistic talents. Some guests came early & brought their own picnic to savor on the lawn. How utterly lovely to see an ancient folk dance being done by "folks" who appear to have the ancient ancestral ties to this tradition as well. Globalism and PC diversity hasn't ruined this...yet. They say cameras can pick up energy interference in some cases. Did you notice the energy being visualised as interference along side the pole and how it intensified toward the end as the weave got more intricate and complete and when all the dancers came together (its a shame the pole was so flexible). It was either some sort of a lense glitch of flare, or that dance was creating some sort of fertility energy that was being directed down the pole into the Earth and shared by the dancers and audience. Bare in mind the patterns the dancers are imprinting into the earth, with spirals and weaving in and out, creating a DNA spiral down the pole with certain weaves, while creating some kind of an energy vortex around the ‘male’ pole which is buried in the Mother Earth, with the female dancers marking out symbols of circles and spirals, maybe like a flower of life. Well it was just an observation, it could have been a lens flare😉

Yes, yes yes I totally agree with you, I took part in a maypole dance when I was a wee girl, and I had an amazing out of body experience and was floating above myself, some very strange effect, and I saw the energy that is in the video, what an experience that was I don't know what it meant but I'm an old girl now, but I'll never forget that mayday many moons ago ❤️💜

Some people don't - sometimes the pole is deliberately kept for a while all wrapped up and displayed and used for other purposes. I think I remember some people burning the still wrapped pole at a different festival. (When the pole was wood.)
