Is this harness needed to install an aftermarket single din stereo in a 2013 Ford Fiesta SE? Axxess harness xsvi-5524-nav My assumption was that I could just splice the stereo harness to the Fiesta Install kit harness, matching up the wires, and everything would be good to go. I'm finding very little information on how to install a single din unit in a 2013 Fiesta that does not have Sync.

There’s a cheap $15 harness for the ford with no sync on Amazon , for the radio with sync you’ll need a $45 harness

I found out that a lot of people were having issues with their battery draining when installing a single din in their Fiestas with the Metra Install kit. The dash kit instructions mentions needing to make a small cut in the sub dash for clearance of the new deck...Is that true?

The sync isn't working properly in my daughters 2016 Fiesta. I want to upgrade with a single din cd player w/bluetooth and I want to keep the sync features. I know I need the dash kit and head unit and at least one harness. What else do I need to install this upgrade?

2011 Fiesta does not allow you to change traction control settings.

From what I’ve heard you won’t be able to make it work because of some bs ford did if you do tap into a fuse you would have to rewire all the the speakers. Not 100% sure tho but would probably recommend to just get the right harness for your model.

You could have easily moved to sync 3, Could you tell me why this video made. I am a little confused going by the title of the video. Isn't there a CD player in OEM stereo already? KZbin is full of videos on how to move from sync 2 to 3 with good aftermarket sony control panel that includes Air play and Android auto support on 8 inch screen.

Antenna only needed if you want the stations , if you don’t need it you don’t have to get it but the harness you definitely need it .

According to the instructions with harness he used in this video which what I also used on a 2013 fiesta with sync it won’t retain sync. I bought a boss Bluetooth radio so I have no use for sync anyways.

@@h_d_z8013 i was looking to do the same thing to my 2012 fiesta se, did you get the 9 or 10 inch screen and how do you like it. my radio has stopped working all together so i think pretty much anything i get will be an improvement but i was looking at this kit and the 9 inch boss radio because itd be about $350 for it all and then id have to install it myself

After pressing the menu button to sync I turn off and back on but get no power to the unit. I tested the constant “yellow” wire and get over 12 volts but when I test the red wire when ignition is on I got no power... is that what could be causing my new pioneer to not get power? And how can I fix it?

Hi JP, I am installing that trim kit and single din stereo into a 2016 fiesta S. The harness I was sold is access XSVI-5524-NAV. Is this the only harness I need? There is an open spot still on back of control panel. Car does not have sterling wheel controls for stereo. Everything works but stereo won’t power up. Connections are soldered. Fuses look good. Any suggestions?

Damn I’ve had the same problem with a 2013 fiesta with sync but I bought the harness for the base model with no sync and the radio wont turn on. From the research I’ve done you might have to buy the pac interface but I’m not sure , let me know if u get it working tho so I know if to buy the harness u bought or not.

FOR EVERYBODY WITH NO POWER TO THE RADIO. I used a multimeter and found no power from the car to the radio, so we ran 2 fuse taps. The power to the instrument cluster fuse & the accessory wire to the radio fuse.

I have this exact same setup but is there a way to be able to talk Bluetooth. My voice on the kenwood shows red. I can hear them but they can’t hear me. Is there a way to fix that so I can talk hands free with Bluetooth?

Update for anybody wondering , installed a single din boss radio in a 2013 Ford Fiesta with sync just need the harness to make it work but will need the kit to actually make it look nice.
