The throttle is instant. I wouldn't let a beginner ride mine. It's a monster

You will be fine take it easy dont drop the clutch or hammer the throttle in low gears.

Yeah, im a beginner but just want the ride to go to work, it's only 4miles away. I think I can do it. And be safe about it. Looking into getting my first bike this year

I know a woman who learned and took her test on a first gen Honda Valkyrie. It's all on you and what you are comfortable with. It wouldn't be the worst bike to start on but not the best.

You got it man, I've been riding dirt bikes my entire life. When I was 23 got my first street bike a 2013 zx6r 636, it handled like a dream but was so dull unless you just unleashed hell. Go with something like this and you will be fine. I'm looking at either a slim, breakout, or a night rod special.
