The mix is right off their CD, they have two versions. As far as mods, the bike is stock with only a FMF Apex Ti slip on it, Bridgestone 003RS 110/70 and went a size bigger on the rear with a 150/60 instead of the 140/70. I'm 6'4 220 lbs and it was obviously pretty stable around the corners. I was really surprised how planted it was considering my weight and the suspension isn't adjustable. Big boys are tough on the straights but wimps in the turns! , nice riding :)

Good to hear that the bike works well for a larger rider. I am 6'5" but only 185 (trying to bulk up though). I have been considering the 250r but was worried about the size. I will use the bike as a commuter mostly and the only freeway riding I would to is at 55mph limit with a 4-5 mile stretch at 65 so I like the low end torque. Great vid, Thanks.

You did this bike justice bro. I ride with 600's all the time and I always lose them in the corners.

It's a really fun bike. It handles really well as you can see. It's all stock other then a slip exhaust and I removed the airbox cover. The tri color looks great too.

I love 250's. I am a smaller guy. 5'7 @ 130lbs. I mean yeah 600's are fun in all but I feel really nervous rideing them at high speeds around corners. With 250's I feel @ one with the bike. I have a 05 Ninja 250r that I am about to get back up and running again after a wicked wreck I got in about a year ago. Thinking about picking up the new CBR250r for another option for ridding. Thanks for posting! i enjoyed it!

Great video... How do you like her? I want a CBR250r, the tricolor or the all black... I think the tricolor might look silly if i get it and mod the other parts to red or purple.... or it might like really cool haha, not sure,

This video highlights the reason for owning a small displacement bike. Any idiot can twist the throttle and peg it on a straightaway. The real riding happens in the turns, and you can see how dependent the other riders are on their straightaway speed rather than handling their turns efficiently. Good riding mate.

That day it would do about 94 mph down the back straight. I've had it up to 98 mph at Beaver Run.

Actually, you do agree with me because that's exactly what I said. The big bikes are relying on their power because their riders can't corner effectively. The 250 is relying on the rider's ability, not the bike's power. A smaller displacement bike teaches you to focus on keeping your speed up because you simply don't have the power to fall back on if you scrub speed because of sloppy riding. Technique is everything.

I thing KTM is currently carrying the torch. Looks like Ducati and Yamaha want to get in on the 250 action as well. Word is Rossi helping Ducati develop a 250cc for moto3 for 2014. Right now its wait N see.

What tires are you running? (Size, make, etc) Do you get as much lean angle as a 600cc SS?
@Livi_3335 жыл бұрын
blindsideair lean angle doesn’t depend on tire size. Look at Moto 3 and see those guys with elbows down on 140 mm

It may be re mapped and I have a Leo Vince on it. I also run boat gas in it. i cant run 93 it ruins my power. and on boat gas i literally get 85 mpg instead of 75mpg
