When I saw the title I had to watch. I had a similar issue on my 2007 Santa Fe. Before I bought it I noticed that the last owner (of 2) had taken it to the Hyundai dealer a couple of times for "electrical work" over only 5000 miles of ownership. It was during the pandemic and I needed a car so I took a chance. Fine for awhile. Then I noticed the left turn signal blinking fast. Ok, bad turn signal bulb, no big deal...but the bulb was fine. A couple days later, battery is dead. It happened like this where if the left turn signal started going fast, I knew the battery was going to drain in the next day or two. But then it would go awhile just fine. Did drain test, etc, but couldn't figure it out. It happened again and I knew what was coming. One last look at that tail light and what did I find? Water in the bottom of the tail light housing. I looked and realized that the way the tail light mates against the body under the rear hatch door was a poor design, and made it EASY for water to run down the hatch door crack and right into the tail light housing. So it was intermittent because it only happened when it rained! I sealed the housing with silicon (looks like hell but I don't care) and it hasn't happened in 2 years (and lots of rain). Sorry to be so long but I had to share. I like that you focus on Hyundai (because I finally fell in love with mine).

Yeah those models are notorius on the tail lights water intrusion. Usually i just recommend drilling the bottom of the housing so that the water will just flow out.

Great video! I have the same vehicle and mine makes that same clattering sound when it starts up in the morning but it goes away a few seconds (maybe 30 seconds) after startup. It's been like that forever.

I think had that before only noise during first start up after sitting for awhile., we found out that the cvvt was moving around but did not cause a check engine light but once it start up after few seconds and oil pressure build up no more noise. Thank for liking the video.

cars that honk when you lock them are really annoying. thankfully my hyundai does not do that. gets old real fast to wake up the whole block when you park.
