Great review as always. Have read in forums that after the AEM recall the software update of the engine ECU leads to more frequent DPF regens and more exhaust flow from the EGR which would make sense the DPF to be doing regens more frequently. Some people have shared that the regens were performed every 200km but I've not seen such figures on my w166 350 bluetec. Xentry DPF regen history show that the last 10 regens have occurred in a frequency of 450-700km, which corresponds to the frequencies I have seen in my previous Merc, a w164 320cdi MY08, so no adblue and AEM recall.If you dont have any issue and faults I would not worry about it. If you want to be on the safe side replace the differential pressure sensor which is known to fail.

Thanks for the info. Based on what you're saying I am probably in the realm of normal. I think every 100-200 miles it does a regen. Oil analysis came back normal. I think I may do a video about that.

I'm in between getting this S clas or a W213 E class I'm in the UK so here we get E220d 2.0 diesel i'm thinking the W213 would be more reliable as I think there are less things to go wrong such as air suspension.. so I'm leaning towards the E as I need a reliable car What is your opinion?

I've heard that the W213 is a pretty reliable car overall. Also, I have a GLK250 with the OM651 I did a bunch of videos about. That engine is more reliable than the OM642, but not perfect.

You need clean out your cats and dpf..they clogged up..i did that on my 2014 sprinter with 266k.miles.....

If there is a problem with the DPF, I am sure it will eventually throw a check engine light and then be covered by warranty. I am covered for 2 more years.

You need change the oil&filters every 5000 miles..then it will last long over 400k miles..when it gets black..from brownish..then its time..or your Engine will not last long..😂😂

The oil is black after running the car for 5 minutes in a diesel. Color is not a good indication of oil condition. Need to send to Blackstone for proper analysis.

@youtoobe169 BS.oil fresh looks brownish.open a new oilcan....when its get worn in the engine it turns black..i sell cars since 1988..and i import from uk,usa salvage since 1990..here in Germany.....if its darkblack its time to change..and it turns black after about 4000miles....your can can go easy..500.000 miles.if you maintain it right...(oil fliters,brake,clutch,timingchain..waterpump..etc.).buddy its a full made in germany..old MB...🫡🇩🇪👍
