Looking to purchase a used countryman so I’ve watched lots of reviews. All filled with the regular toggle switch and radio control instructions. This video told me more about the prospect of owning a mini than any of the others. And because of that I am now the proud owner of a countryman S all4

I own a 2016 S and don't believe all the bad remarks. This car is lot more reliable than websites may claim. I bought my used at 78'000 km and past 6 months i racked up 4700 km, daily driving and ocassional trips. Good fuel economy and as long as you maintain it normally it will last.

I have just bought a 2012 model, very low mileage, and in pristine condition. It is a Cooper SD, all 4. So pleased with it. It looks brand new.

Wow. Such an accurate review. Wife and I are 37 with two daughters 4,11 years old. Previously to purchasing the Countryman, we owned a 2015 Jeep Compass. Good on gas and a comfortable ride. After a bad accident in the Jeep, we found a used 2016 Countryman S with 19k miles. So after a test drive and paperwork.... we’re Mini owners. We own the 3 seater back seat so it is more practical than this review. So, I’ve owned many sport cars and muscles cars and love to lay into the gas pedal. Love Autocross as well. Wife loves black, chrome and leather... we found our Bucket list car. We’re 4 months into owning it. I drive it daily to work. I absolutely love it! They burn oil though. Make sure to check your oil every one thousand miles just to be safe. The run flats are load and stiff as explained. But it is very comforting knowing the beating they can take. Now, would I buy another? Good Lord YESSSS! I want to purchase a JCW 2 door for myself.

Yeah it's a pretty fun ride. It's slightly lower then a standard or a S so they ride is even stiffer. I drove it up to Mackinac Island (Michigan) which was a 4 hour ride on horrid Michigan roads and was fine. I love when people rag on Mini. I just laugh and say "you clearly don't own one"

no way, is it a blue mini now listed for sale? if it is please contact me!!! also in Michigan

I know it’s been 8 years but it definitely is not lower then the standard, s or clubman.

Rented this gem of a mini for 3 days and drove it over 700 miles. Manual transmission is notchy and extremely fun to drive. Once you reach between 3000-5000 rpm in 2nd and 3rd gears... ur gone buddy 🚗💨

Good review and great points. I'm glad they got rid of the center-rail in the rear and relocated the window buttons. Mine is a 2016 w/120k miles and running like a champ!

Also, something this video lacks is true long term aspects. As a the owner of a 2012 that just hit 125k miles, my advice is to avoid any with 75k+ miles. My clutch went out at 115, which is pretty typical. What wasn't typical was the $3000 price tag. Now 10k miles later, my turbo is going out, and the part alone is almost 1k. Not to mention other small maintenance issues I've had like my usual mechanic not being able to do oil changes because the filter having a special location, just changed the wheel hub assembly and you can forget any kind of modifications.... Everything has its own special part. It cost me $300 to have speakers put in, and I still felt bad because it took the guy 16 hours due to having to take the entire dash apart and remove the air bags. Don't even think about putting a custom radio head into that Mickey Mouse design. But yeah, they are fun to drive. Edit: the best part is, I just bought it 6 months ago with 112k miles on it.

The countryman is the best car mini has built so far, I have owned 4 mini coopers over the years and they have all been great cars, but the countryman in my opinion is the best so far.The car feels and drives like a mini hatch but with more room and comfort, All the people who when asked would they drive a mini and answered no because its too small? well now you have got the perfect replacement. Mini is not about being small anymore its about being a brand, and thats fine by me, The best thing that ever happened was the new mini in motoring history. We still have the classic mini to thank for creating a new mini which was well overdue, Things have changed and moved on in the mini world and im so glad the new mini was created. What else can you buy that looks half as good as the mini???? NOTHING.

I've had a 2012 All 4 Countryman for a year and a half and I have nothing but good things to say about it. I like it's quirkiness, the window toggles in the middle, everything about it. I've owned nothing but Toyotas and Hondas my whole life and was bored to tears. Yes, Mini's are different, but that's the point. I'm a huge fan of British Noir, love to zoom around the city pretending to be Michael Caine from Get Carter. Life is short, gotta switch things up every now and then.

I've been driving my 1998 Toyota RAV since it was NEW (yes, 21 years!!) and I am SO bored!! It's been a great car, dependable, just solid gold, a real money saver. But I am hankering for a Mini Countryman and am pretty sure it will be my next car. That's what I always say too, life's too short to drive boring cars! :-) I will be so excited when I get one, like a kid in a toy store!

@blakecremeans10887 жыл бұрын
It takes full synthetic. You're supposed to go by what the computer says, which is adaptive to your driving. Usually anywhere from 15k-20k miles. I still change it around 7500 miles anyway just to be safe. Since they were test driving for a review, they prly wanted to go by the book and follow the manual.

It’s silly to reply to such an old vid ( why is this still up? ) but I agree with the last poster, NO BORING CARS. I just bought a 2021 Countryman because I could get everything I wanted in a distinctive package and a killer color that was not the standard ho hum minimal choice of silver, grey, white, black, red or sometimes blue that ALL cars come in . Talk about boring.

at that price point of a used countryman s you could get a mk6 vw gti, more power than the countryman , more space in the trunk , better interior quality with the sacrifice of all4.. which has me wondering why mini never put the the all4 system in across the entire mini line

I was looking at the GTI's when I started looking to replace my 1998 Toyota RAV, and I like the way they drove, but I just can't really get into how basic they look. They have a dated look. And I'm one of those people who hates how all cars are starting to look the same, but the GTI and all VWs are old style in a bad way.
