Why do you want the damaged portion at the top? Doesn't the sealant go down when it is injected? Should make more sense for the puncture to be at the bottom... Right?

The inner air pressure will push the glue towards the puncture.

Yeah, but its cheaper and more space saving for Toyota to put this in the car than to include a spare tire.

waste of money to use the repair kit, you will have to replace the valve system and transponder, more money for dealership. I rather carry a spare.

This is not a good cost effective system for the owner. It destroys the tire sensor, which is expensive to replace and some repair shops do not want to deal with cleaning out the sealant. Also what if you can't see the cause if the puncture? Now you have to replace the entire tire, too.This is not a consumer friendly solution.

Might as well carry a Camel tire patch kit; unmount the tire and patch it for real.
