Hi mate.. for yamaha yz250f two types of bolts are using to fix the oil tube on the head and block . One bolt with small jet and other bolt hav bigger jet .. top line goes to the cam shaft lubrication and next one for the gear box ..may i know which one is using on the head and which one using on the block..?
@restoroosterohvАй бұрын
That oil tube will only go on in one direction. I believe that the larger banjo bolt goes on the head.

@@restoroosterohvand the nerrow jets in the both banjo bolts are the critical thing for maintaining the adequate oil pressure for the con rod bearing .. if the bolts fix in improper position, i think the pressure will loose, and the crank will seize… its a common issue for the yamaha yz series bikes…. Thank you mate…

@jogscyborg you can’t mix them up

Just bought mine blown up for $700. Having one hell of a time finding a good head. Awesome video. What is the break in process?

They typically want you to run the engine at 3000rpm for a short time and then ride variably through the rpm range for a tank of fuel. Honestly most people run a heat cycle or two and ride them as normal.

Hey, i was always under the impression you can not lap titanium valves. I was always told there is a coating on them. It this true? Or is it just some wise tail.
@restoroosterohv8 ай бұрын
It’s true! Some Titanium valves have a coating on them that can become damaged if you lap them. Yamaha specifically says to lap the valves before installation in the service manual. Bottom line, Always follow the manufacturer’s guidelines when it comes to any facet of mechanical repair. Thanks for your question.

I notice you always use rtv on the cases instead of the oem style paper gaskets? I always thought that the tolerances were designed with the paper gasket included?
@restoroosterohv4 ай бұрын
Not all engines use a gasket material but when they do, I will use them for sure

Hello sir, I have a 2013 Yamaha yz250f....while the piston size is 76.98..akaha there are still sizes above.
@restoroosterohv4 ай бұрын
Yes, you can get larger or “big bore” kits for them. 77mm is standard
@ABCsuspention4 ай бұрын
Is there a piston kit size larger than the standard 77.mm, sir? Maybe a 78.mm piston.
@restoroosterohv4 ай бұрын
80mm would be the next size. The kit would include the oversized piston, rings and cylinder.

Are there aftermarket transmission parts to make the engine for race track bike ?
@restoroosterohv10 ай бұрын
These transmissions are pretty stout and can handle all the power that the engine can produce. They are already designed for racing.
