I have been trying the mirror and all the other tricks to avoid having to go to the dealership but was just about to give up and settle without being able to use the keyless entry. That is, before I found your video. Literally 10 seconds later the code is on the dash screen and my mind is blown. I have been trying to fix this for over a year now and refused to pay the dealership to do what I thought should have had the easiest fix. Turns out, I was right all along. I just knew Ford had to have put in place an easy way to get this code because of how complicated they designed the door handle and the way you have to unlock the door without having the actual key fob in hand to unlock the doors with. My second key is a regular key type without the key fob buttons and you have to take things apart to unlock the door with that key. Super frustrating until now! Thanks again.

There is a fuse box under the driver side lock panel held in with a 10 mm nut. Revive the nut, pull the box away from the car and on the back side is a sticker with the “key code” on it. Some people use a small retractable mirror to read the sticker on the back. Quite a few videos on it. My 2017 f150 had it behind the passenger kick panel and the sticker was on the front. A little easier. I just got a 2014 Fusion today and need to do this myself. good luck.

I think it's just the amount of seconds before pulling it out, if I've got it right

That is correct, just the seconds after putting the key in, mainly once it lights up and loads in turn it off and then put the second key in, 5 seconds later it should just pop up
