I was a Honda service adviser for a few years. I do miss seeing the brand new Honda's getting their PDI's...loved test driving the news ones. These videos allow me to relive a little bit of that and update myself on the newer models. I am really liking this new Accord. From all of the videos I have seen, Honda has really knocked this one out of the park. Thanks again for the video. I will check out your latest one, too. :-)

HPJ- I thought I'd mention that I've had my '13 Honda Accord since last November, and I LOVE IT! It handles great, looks sharp, and I'm getting an average of 29 mpg city and 36 hwy. All those naysayers about the CVT transmission are wrong, IMHO. I recommend it highly.

Great question, Honda uses a timing chain on all their 4 cyl engines in the U.S and a timing belt on the 6 cyl.

My Aunt & Uncle bought a brand new 2013 Honda Accord EX-L in April of 2013. They still have for three years now. I showed the Tips & Tricks of the Accord video you made. They're still loving their Accord. My Aunt & Uncle wanted me to "Thank You!" the video you made. My first car was a '97 Civic EX. My next vehicle is 2005 Honda Pilot EX-L. I'm going get the 2017 Honda Pilot EX-L next year. Any different between the '05 Pilot EX-L compare to the '17 Pilot EX-L? Your loyal fan!!!

Great question. The lane departure warning can be turned off and on by a button on the drivers side. The Lane watch mirror/camera can also be turned off by a setting in the menu screen. Almost all features and lights can be customized ON or OFF. HPJ

That feature on the trunk locking is fantastic. In 2000 I took my Acura 3.2TL on a trip, I accidentally dropped my keys in the trunk and locked them in, I was 1,000 miles from home and 100 miles from the nearest dealer! Luckily a wrecker driver was able to get into the car and trip the emergency trunk release! A feature like this new model has could really save the day!

Bluetooth, Bluetooth audio, power seat, back up camera and auto headlights BUT the sport also ADDS duel exhaust, red lite gauges, sport seats, 18" alloys and a tighter suspension. ( its my favorite trim level)

Good question, Yes the Honda Tech will check and fill the tire pressure. There is no charge, this service is included with the oil and filter change.

Thanks for the support!! The Econ button is good to use all the time or when you want. It doesn't hurt the engine at all and can be switched on or off anytime. The cool trunk feature is only on the cars with the new 'smart key' because you don't normally have the key in your hand so it could easily be tossed in the trunk with a coat or bag :-) HPJ

Yes you should only use 0w-20 do to the very tight engine clearances and the bearings of the EarthDreams engine. Honda recommends using a very thin oil. The problem can occur in colder weather when the oil can get thick. Thanks for the question Jason

Thanks Honda !! Used to lock my keys in the trunk every other day!! But thanks to your game changing technology, now I don't have to get my spare key !! Push button start, keyless entry, AND bluetooth with wipers that turn the lights on automatically!! You guys should be the industry standard😂❕ROFLMAO❕ this was entertaining though...Blind spot mirrors are cheap, and don't fail too often 😁👍❕

Not all of them :-/ The Sport model looses side camera, smart key keyless start, lane watch departure, touch screen for the radio and sunroof. The Sport adds red gauges, sport trim inside, amazing looking wheels, rear spoiler and dual exhaust. Thanks for the question. Jason

I know when its playing thru USB you can see all your music. I have to check on Monday about the Bluetooth. Did you know your car has song by voice? you can press the talk button on the steering wheel and just say a track or artist on your Ipod/Iphone and it will find it and play it ;-) very cool feature. All the Bluetooth phone and audio will work along with the photos on the 8" screen. You can customize the gauge lights and a few others

The position of the camera in the mirror would make it hard to break. Cost to replace the camera with the whole mirror assembly is $340. Just the camera can be purchased for $300

Do you have a sunroof now? How often do you use it? Remember you can always go with a aftermarket roof.

Finally a video different from other salesman videos. One minor comment: Please use a camera with better stabilization mode. The cam you're using is too shaky. Also, would appreciate more editing so your video is short and very informative. Can u pls show the replacement of cabin air filter next time as well as how to disable the auto play of BT music player when turning on the car? Thanks again for the tips and tricks.

You're right, back when my sunroof worked there was maybe only 3 months out of the year where I could use it. The motor stopped running on the sunroof in my 95 Acura Integra so I haven't used it in years. Aftermarket roof is a good idea but after reading some of the horror stories online about leaks and such I wouldn't take the risk.

Jason: you said the daytime running lights are projectors. I think you may have your terminology wrong. The low beam headlights are projectors. The DRLs are still used from the reduced wattage of the high beams!

Hooooooooliiiiieeeeeeeeeee!!! I am defo driving a fossil albeit a very reliable one! All this time I was saying I want to move away from a Honda (driving Civic 96 hatchback right now) but I see now that I can stay with Honda and still get all the good stuff its been offering and soooo much much more now! Yawwwwzzzah! Lock your keys in and it won't let ya? Now that's enough to make my baby Civic jealous! Seriously, been liking all the reviews. My first choice was VW Golf. Then Audi A3 Quattro. Now torn between 2014 Audi S3 Sedan and 2014 Honda Accord Touring (Hybrid - except for that trunk size!!! Aarrghhh!! And fact that Toronto only offers 3 colours Black/White and metallic grey! Woot?? I want a red one!!)

I emailed you but thought I would reply here also ;-) When the touch screen goes off can you turn it back on by touching it? Or is the only way it turns on is by restarting the car? You can only save music to the hard drive off a CD. The wallpaper pictures can be downloaded from a USB drive (not a phone) by going into settings and selecting wallpaper. It will then let you select a slot to down load a jpeg. Please let me know if you have any further questions Thank You, Jason

I decided to try riding in "Econ" mode on my Accord LX, and I like it. Does it hurt the car to ride only in "Econ" mode? Does it hurt the car to switch back and forth from regular to Econ? I have the 2013 Sport but it seems to have a pretty weak torque. I usually lose a race to my friend who has a 2005 2.5 altima with less HP and Torque. Any reason why?

this car looks nice... I have a 96 accord and am looking to replace it. This makes me tempted to buy a new accord even though I was wanting to get a "luxury" sedan. Or.. maybe wait til the redesign of the TL or TLX in 2014. I have a feeling the styling of the new TL and tech will be much better based off this improved Accord.
