I have enjoyed my ILX the past couple of years. I get plenty of compliments and I got a great deal in it.

The ILX sales is actually picking up steam, it just surpassed the TSX last month. We're excited for the new Mercedes CLA and A3, there's no denying those cars will feel even more upscale. We think Acura could benefit from a hp increase and more tech features in the ILX to stay competitive. At the same time, the ILX is significantly less expensive than its German competitors and for a lot of buyers they prefer to choose a brand with a reputation for reliability. To each their own as everyone says
@theredline11 жыл бұрын
Funny you should say that. The last Honda/Acura video was seven uploads ago. They also aren't really the same products, we always show something different whether its an entirely different brand or trim level. That's how detailed we prefer our videos to be :)

the ILX is a great car. got to see one in person at an autoexpo back in feb. the interior is well made and has a warm feeling. gauges are bright and crisp. seats are comfortable. i did notice the windows really small. but i wouldnt mind owning one as a daily driver.
@theredline11 жыл бұрын
A vehicle is designed to withstand multiple uses including a bit of wide-open throttle. It's actually good for the engine every so often as it helps remove the carbon that has built up inside the cylinder walls. Live a little and see what your car can do ;)
@theredline11 жыл бұрын
With the deals Acura is putting on the ILX, we'd rather get an ILX Tech over an EX-L NAV Civic. The ILX has a much better navigation system with real-time traffic and weather, you get push-button start, HID headlights, larger wheels and tires, and more comfortable leather seats with power adjustments. In terms of power, the ILX is just a tad quicker and it's MPG should mirror that of the Civic despite the lower EPA ratings. It's up to you, but honestly, the ILX cost about $4,000 more.
@theredline11 жыл бұрын
Everyone will have a different opinion on this, a Focus Titanium certainly has the premium features and looks to justify its more premium price tag. The Focus even offers 10 more horsepower, an extra gear, and better EPA numbers. The truth of the matter is, after driving both vehicles, the ILX does feel a class above a Focus in terms of the interior, looks, driving experience, and dealership service. We don't blame you for going with the Ford but we also understand why some go with the ILX.

I just got a 2020 old premium off a lease with 12k miles, absolutely love the thing! The only downside is it’s somewhat lower to the ground for someone my height 5 foot 8, and my head just barely clears the top of the door getting in.

CosmicGlimpse didn't see you're msg my bad. I'm loving the car. No issues at all. If you join the group on Facebook you CA see there's someone that already put over 200k. It's a solid car if you plan to keep it for ever since it has all of the Honda everything you don't have to worry about anything being expensive to repair. Just regular maintenance and you should be all set. I have snow tires on it now and it's a beast even after a couple of inches of snow.

I think when i speak for alot of people when i say i can get more for my money with a faster better drive. being ALMOST as pratical as a sedan, the 13 accord coupe to me is better looking, the V6 makes top shelf power with high MPG, theres the option of the 6MT and way more tech features for similar money. can even be had in similar colors. and even then the 13 accord touring will haul and do circles around alot of other cars. for me, acura stepped on their feet with this car and it needs more.

That's odd. I've had mine since June of 2012 and I live in the Washington, DC area and have only seen one other one ... that's one other one and it was a white one (mine is black). Got it mostly for the stereo system. Put a 5.1 CD in it and you're in for the long ride. Love it, for sure. They actually had to rebuild the motor (called someone in from Omaha) last Thanksgiving. I was without it for 2 weeks. That sucked.

I think that Acura is going more towards luxury than sportiness nowadays. If you look at their products from about 5 years ago they were very sporty compared to other cars, but it seems like more and more car makers started making sporty cars. I think Acura wants to be different from every other car maker and that's why their new cars are more luxurious than sporty; new RDX, RLX, MDX... they're all focusing more on luxury than their predecessors.

Well here in San Diego, I've seen a lot of them. So they are selling, a few neighbors actually bought ILXs a few months ago. I know if I ever considered this car for LED taillights, fuel efficiency and 2.4 Auto, maybe for the refresh or next generation. My TL is getting up there in mileage so may need a car to replace until I can afford a new Acura MDX

I think you bought an ILX for yourself Sofyan, so I don't mean to purposely pile on, but after driving the car, it's nothing more than a nice Honda Civic. The 2014 A3 that I had was absolutely a better car than this in every material way. Acura's going to have a tough time with this car, and it's unsurprisingly missing sales projections.

Honestly I've seen a couple of these cars and they look bad in person. The rear end is atrocious if you ask me, when you look at it from 3/4 you think they designed it after a pick-nick table.
