CROUTONCHANNEL bob luts, there is a reason why the japanese and the germans have a leg up in the automotive industry in terms of innovation such as hybrid and electric car. It was because of the lack of action by guys like him, who are backwards thinkers. It took a TESLA, to bring american back in the forefront of automotive innovation. Such a shame that this guy was CEO for so long.

I love your series on we've been talking to Bob Lutz. I knew who he was and knew he was very integral part of General Motors but I never understood exactly how much he was the driving force behind the corporation. Fantastic series

We have a Citroen Traction Avant that I love and sometimes hate. Never seen one in the US. It's funny that Bob has the rare 6 cylinder version. Still got to have the big displacement:)

It's a shame this show doesn't get more views. I think you should try to get on Adam's CarCast and see if you can boost your rating that way or advertise on shows like FastLaneyDaily. I am sure you tossed those ideas around but I hate to see this show go away. Great show MotoMan.

I was initially disappointed at the 1st 5 or so minutes of the video, as I was hoping to see BL's car collection. At the end of the video, I gained a greater appreciation for it. It had to do more with BLs philosophy of the business behind autombiles, and not just GM, but the industry as a whole. I have a lot of respect for BL. Also great interview overall. Thanks MOTOMAN!

The Idea that we should be paying $7.00 a gal for fuel is crap lobby to lower the café standers to something realistic. Plus the idea of social engineering though taxes always rubs Me the wrong way.

Lutz too was focused on money, how well did GM do so that his bonus and stock options would make him a rich man. Blaming regulations is one small piece of the puzzle that witnessed the downfall of American car cos.

GM did a rush update to the Malibu because Ford - there is no nice way to put this - literally crapped on Chevy's doorstep with the Fusion for 2013.
