I have the SRT8 CORE, its awesome. I get 27 mpg on the hwy. Its so quiet, yet, it can be a monster when needed. As for the people out there bagging the 5 speed, I can tell you, its perfect. Before anyone judges, drive one and you'll see what I mean.

have you owned one before? specially a hemi? these hemis can take a beating and know somebody who just went over 200k miles. transmission problems? not on these cars i own an 07 300 srt8 and transmission is Mercedes' own nag1 own one before talking shit

Hi Steve, great reviews! How would you compare the luxury/quiet/ride during normal driving between the Chrysler 300 SRT8 and the Genesis 5.0 R-Spec? It appears clear the Chrysler is the much better performer in every way, but I'm wondering about the daily drivability of these two cars in comparison to each other.

What fool is going to pay 60,000 for a Chrysler . Plus whats the need for a 500 hp car . In the u.s . The streets are shit pot holes , then gas prices 14 mpg , then if that dnt matter camera lights speed lights I dnt need 500 hp to go to work wake up Chrysler . 5 speed automatic...REALLY!!!! C'mon Fiat, you got Chrysler for basically nothing due to U.S. taxpayers forking over billions to save the company, the least you could do is plunk a 7 or 8 speed automatic into the car.

Last year for the 5-speed in the Charger, 300 and Grand Cherokee SRT8's. Expect the 8-speed, new wheels and facelifts across the board for 2014, as well as the in-dash TFT screen like the Viper has.

the car is so good and so powerful, even German ZF 8spd cannot handle, so Chrysler sticks with 6spd for this monster =)

The chrysler is listed in my top five cars that I would love to buy. (i.e. Audi, Cadillac,Porsche,Nissan). But I am tooo pooorrrrr.

i like the old frontal treatment more than the current one , still like the car though, with so much torque it probably does`nt need lots of cogs.

Does the transmission hinder any of the performance? It's still the old 5 speed auto right? I would think a proper modern auto would awaken this beast even more. Thoughts?

I had a 05 300C 5.7, Three engine's and two transmission's, I can talk sh-t about a junk sh-t of a car. and it had less than 60.000 mile's. do,do.

When this car gets the 6.2 supercharged Hemi it will suddenly be compared to AMG and M type vehicles. Assuming that it has the new 8 speed transmission.
