2013 Cruze Tesla Radio Review

A review of my Tesla Style Radio.
I'm sure there are details that I've either forgotten or neglected to mention in the video.
I no longer have this unit installed as I decided about a month later that my Pioneer AVH3300NEX had more useful features and better sound and control when paired with my system. I have since sold this unit.

I notice the audio quality its very poor compared with the original cruze stereo after installing the tesla stereo, any idea hotw to set up the audio to make it sound like the original (srry for my bad english)

I try it with the equalizer or sound effects that have the radio but its still not that good

@@sumo1636 There are sound boosting apps that can be downloaded, I tried one but it didn't work very well. I've noticed that with these Android units, it's rather hit and miss. There's a larger margin of error when comparing to a more reputable brand like Pioneer or Sony. My advice is to just try different things or maybe even reset the unit and try again.

Could you please tell me how to put the same background on home screen. I don't have this on mine

You can load pictures onto a flash drive and then using the file explorer, you can save them as a background. It's very similar to an Android phone or tablet.

Hey I don’t know if u still own this car, I have the same screen on my chavy Cruz 2013, i was curious if your screen starts glitches up doing a hot day and goes black, if it does what can be the cause and solutions?

For the Maps lag, I think it comes from the small RAM version you have. Your eBay link shows that there's only 2GB of RAM and modern version of apps would want much more. There are also 6 and 8GB versions of these devices, but add another $100 to the price tag

Hello sir, very good video. I have the same one and i have a question. When your driving and listening to music, when u put it in reverse the music stops so that you can hear the beeping. Have you figured out the way to turn this off, if yes please tell me how. Thank you!

I no longer have this unit installed in my Cruze, I reinstalled my Pioneer AVH3300NEX and currently have this android unit listed for sale on Facebook. As far as your question, I never had any beeping while reversing, but it did mute the music and show me where the backup camera video would be (I don't have a backup camera). However, on this one there is a way to not have it mute audio while you're reversing, but I never figured out how to disable the reverse camera "radar" lines. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Hi I wanted to ask you a quick question, how do you compare this unit sound quality with the factory unit?

@@lifeofchris_5827 Compared to the factory unit. This system is better sounding, more EQ settings and you can download sound enhancement apps that can add to it. So if it's the choice between factory and these, I'd pick the android. These are nothing compared to my Pioneer AVH3300NEX, but over factory, these are better in my experience.

I don't use apple music so I have no idea. Besides. The cons began to outweigh the pros, I ended up taking this unit out and reinstalling my Pioneer AVH3300NEX

mine kept shutting itself off and wpuldnt work after awhile 😢 and i paid 200 to have it installed also and they wouldnr send me a new one until i took it out and returned it. 😅😅

@@Andrew.B-Nerdy it was , I tried to get a replacement but of course I would've had to pay 200 to take it out to return then another 200 to put it back in and I couldn't do that 😦 so im stuck with a broken unit.... it shuts down , starts back up, then shuts back down before staring up

@@MeaganBailey-vy7kn That sucks. But that replacement seems like something you could do on your own. These are actually really easy to put in and take out. Everything is plug and play. It seems like you got ripped off by paying $200. But then again, I installed mine myself. Only took about 40 minutes from start to finish.

@@Andrew.B-Nerdy yea well I have no clue about things like that and didn't wanna mess anything up becuz I don't know what wires go where and stuff so I had to have a shop install it .. i probably would've been able if I watched a video and stuff but yea its gone now tho I took it and shipped it back but still haven't gotten refunded tho

Great video I have a question I install the two Tesla style radio in my 2013 cruze almost every time I turn on my signal light to make a turn the radio shuts off and restart, it seams like a plug and deal the only I install with it is a subwoofer with built in amp that I connected the amp remote to the radio. I have the 10.4 screen with 4+64 processor,If you have any idea that can help me figure out I would appreciate it! Thanks in advance

I never ran into that, and to be honest, I wouldn't have a clue as to what could be causing that or even where to start. But I wish you luck in your diagnostics.

Did u have to change settings to get the warnings on the cluster to be in English rather than Chinese????

No, actually I didn't. Nothing changed on the cluster.

Did you find a fix for this? my dashboard is still in chinese. the android settings are set to english, i think it has something to do with the canbus setting.

@@PheonixCHT No. Sorry. The only other thing I can suggest is to try the car language settings using the signal stalk menu button. Beyond that I have no idea. I don't even have the unit installed anymore. The cons began to outweigh the pros so I put my Pioneer back in.
