Is this what’s causing my car to smell like gas? I don’t see a visible leak but it does look wet and I don’t wanna rush and get a new gas tank.

Probably. These cars have so many issues and recalls. If you haven't figured out and fixed the issue already then I suggest taking the vehicle into the Ford Dealership and have them inspect the tank as well the purge valve. There was a recall that was potentially deadly.

@@zs747 it’s the leaking right where the filler neck meets the tank. Don’t know if it’s just the seal or or the whole neck I gotta change yet. Thanks a lot man this 3 min video helped out so much.

@@misstrKevin That's exactly where mine was leaking. I figured swapping out the entire neck would fix the issue, but it didn't. So I just got rid of the car. Best of luck broski!

I agree with you, "F** Ford!." my 2013 Ford Fusion keeps throwing fits, I bought it used and it has been nothing but trouble, hours and hours wasted at the dealership where I bought it, they reset the "check the engine light" and the stupid car keeps showing the same "fault." My 2015 Ford Focus has been at a different dealership waiting for a TCU" for 3 months, BOTH cars has a recalled on the gas tanks due defect, as you mentioned, EVERY model for 10 years has the same defect, what the heck!

2012 Ford Focus, ODB 2 Codes P0443 & P0444, replace MAF Sensor Purge Control Valve. still have problem. do I need to replace the fill neck ? W0133-2022154 anybody else have this problem. related recall numbers - 18S32, 20V331000, 19V515000, 18V735000, 16V643000, 12V149000 15V-246, 16V-643, 17V-210, 18V-735 and 14M02

More than likely yes. My 15 ford had a recall performed to replace the purge valve and I am now suspecting the filler neck to be the culprit. I plan on replacing it soon
